The hospital seeks to recruit an ideal candidate for the following position:-
Section Head – Histology
Job Summary

·         Perform tests according to standard laboratory procedure and guidelines.
·         Monitor turnaround time of results and manage referral specimens to other hospitals
·         Responsible in all sections with the assistance of assigned Laboratory Technologist I
·         Conduct competence evaluation test for Laboratory Technologist I
·         Ensure maximum and cost-effective utilization of reagents and appropriate stocking of reagents and consumables through CARE 2000
·         Participate in continuous medical education programmes of the department and regularly update the technologists with new and existing techniques
·         Supervise the daily performance of laboratory technologists assigned to the section.
·         Ensure compliances of all the daily quality assurance requirements in the sections
Required qualifications, attributes and experience
·         Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology
·         Higher Diploma in Histology will be an added advantage
·         Registered and licensed by KMLTTB
·         Minimum of Four (4) years working experience; Two (2) of which should be in the Histology section
·         High degree of administrative capability and good leadership skills
·         Ability to write and review SOPs
·         In depth knowledge regarding hospital wide quality initiatives ISO 15189 and JCIA will be an added advantage.


Laboratory Technologist
3 Positions
The successful candidate will ensure accurate, timely and cost effective testing of patient samples to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of disease in compliance and harmony with the quality management system.

Required qualifications, attributes and experience
·         Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology
·         Registered and licensed by KMLTTB
·         At least two years working experience in similar position preferably in a hospital set up
·         In depth knowledge regarding hospital wide quality initiatives ISO 15189 and JCIA will be an added advantage.


Clinical Nurse – Performance Improvement Team  
Job Summary: Reporting to the Head of Performance Improvement, the incumbent will facilitate all quality improvement activities for the Hospital including patient care and relations, quality standards compliance, risk management and safety in accordance to the strategic plans and policies for improved patient safety throughout the Hospital.
Required qualifications, attributes and experience
·         Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)/ Diploma in Community health Nursing (KRCHN)
·         Must be registered and licensed with the Nursing Council of Kenya
·         Certificate in Quality Improvement methods will be an added advantage
·         At least 2 years clinical working experience in a busy preferably JCI accredited Institution
·         At least 1 year experience working with a quality improvement team will be an added advantage


Clinical Nurse (Radiology)
The incumbent will be responsible for promoting and maintaining high standards of professional nursing care by providing quality services with special focus on assessment, planning, and care of patients who undergo diagnostic, interventional, and therapeutic procedures in the Radiology section to meet the needs of patients.
Required qualifications, attributes and experience
·         Diploma in Community health Nursing (KRCHN)
·         At least two years of experience in the Radiology or Diagnostic Section
·         Certification in BLS or ACLS will be an added advantage
