Human Resource Coordinator
Job description
Applications are invited from qualified candidates for the position of Human Resource Coordinator in the Human Resource Division.
Position Summary:
Reporting to the Manager, Coordinate the recruitment functions of the University in conjunction with the Department Heads/Managers in the Department

Key Responsibilities

·         Managing advertisement of Institution’s vacancies in consultation with concerned Unit Heads/Heads of Department;
·         Managing the shortlisting process and organizing for interviews and make recommendation for selection;
·         Conduct interviews for shortlisted candidates and make recommendations for selection;
·         Implementing HR policies in the areas of recruitment, compensation, benefits administration and employee relations
·         Manage joining formalities for recruited employees including pre-employment physical examination, document verification and reference checks prior to any hire
·         Facilitate timely leave/absence management in line with policy guidelines by collating all leave plans at the beginning of the year and monitoring implementation on a monthly basis
·         Ensure timely confirmation or otherwise of new staff on completion of probation and timely enrollment of benefits in line with institutional policy
·         Conduct staff exit interviews and submit summaries on a monthly basis.
·         Assist in addressing employee grievances and resolve routine disciplinary cases in accordance with applicable labour laws and AKUHN policies
·         Ensure proper administration of medical benefits for staff and eligible dependants.
·         Receive resignations accepted at departmental level, provide resignation acceptance and certificate of service 2 weeks prior to staff exit

Requirements:

·         Applicants must have a Master’s degree in Human Resources or in Business Administration.

·         The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 3 – 5 years relevant experience in a busy HR department and proficiency in all MS Office packages.
·         S/he should have excellent organizational, analytical and communication skills; be able to work under pressure and maintain strict confidentiality.

Responsibilities

Requirements
