Responsibilities

Provide leadership in the development and implementation of the
Company’s strategic plans
·
Establish, direct and manage the Company’s managerial, financial
and operational systems, procedures and controls
·

Coach, mentor, and develop the leadership team to ensure excellent
performance and effective succession planning in the Company

Advise the Board on the performance and all matters relating to
the company’s strategy
·
Manage relationships and maintain business networks with
local and global stakeholders

Acts as the principle spokesperson of the company
Operational Responsibilities / Tasks
·
Carry out day to day business of the company
·
Coordinate and prepare business related proposals, reports and
other submissions for consideration by the Board
·
Ensures effective communication between the management and the
board as well as between different levels of management
·
Provide leadership to employees
·
Attends to personnel matters including organizational structures,
appointments, welfare, training, separation and effective management succession
plans
·
Ensure effective mobilization and utilization of resources
·
Oversee corporate planning, budgeting and effective implementation
of policy decisions at both strategic and operational levels
·
Communicates with shareholders and other stakeholders effectively
·
Ensure compliance with the laws of the country
·
Ensure continuous improvement in the quality and value of services
provided by the Company

Ensure continuous improvement of the company’s financial and

Qualifications
·
Master’s Degree in Business Administration or a relevant field
·
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
·
Have Certificate in Leadership Course from a recognized
institution;
·
Relevant professional qualification and membership to a relevant
professional body
·
Minimum 15 years’ experience with at least 5 years at senior
management level
Senior Superitending Engineer

The position holder is responsible for designing, developing and
manufacturing products, give technical support to other departments, advice on
manufacturing technology in the company, management of National projects such
as establishment of proposed steel mill, and collaboration with Universities
and other company’s in new products’ development..
Responsibilities
·
Plan and design products, install machinery and equipment; oversee
maintenance of machinery and equipment; ensure adherence to engineering safety
measures and quality control systems; supervise production units, determine and
inspect production inputs; manage projects and undertake research and
development; and train staff.
·
Plan, monitor and evaluate the performance of staff against set
targets and objectives and implementing development action plans aimed at
building the capacity of individuals and multidisciplinary teams.
·
Lead the Company on industrial research activities
·
Compile design reports and collaboration documents
·
Ensure all design works are documented and in safe custody
·
Approve designs and drawings; review, verify and validate designs
·
Generate training manuals for design software
·
Manage National projects assigned to the Company by the Government
·
Manage research collaboration with Universities and other
institutions
·
Initiate design and development of products and manufacturing
processes
·
Assures competitiveness and innovation of products and processes
from a technological and design standpoint, and in line with strategic plan
·
Ensure and consolidate the growth of the technical “know-how”
within the working group is shared and constantly increasing
·
Cooperates closely with production and business development
departments to assure customer focus and target costing; and co-development of
products
·
Ensure products comply to standards and regulations
Operational Responsibilities
·
Supervise production units, determine and inspect production inputs;
manage projects and undertake research and development
·
Conduct training needs assessment, design and implement training
programmes aimed at equipping staff with appropriate job competencies to design
and deliver high quality products and services
·
Formulate and review specifications for purchase of machinery and
equipment
·
Compile design reports and collaboration documents or Co-ordinate
the preparation of periodical and projects’ status reports
·
Manage research collaboration with other companies and institutions
·
Initiate, guide and oversee implementation of research and
development projects
·
Organize, form and manage products and process development teams
·
Spearhead technology upgrade in the company by continuously
searching for bestin-class technologies and develops adoption roadmaps
·
Develop and ensure the implementation of standards
·
Fostering collaboration with stakeholders on technical, research
and development matters centering on the company growth and product development
·
Coach and mentor staff to foster creativity in work teams
·
Develop and control departmental budget to ensure optimum resource
utilization
·
Supports R&D projects at group level by participating in
meetings and sharing technical information and “best-practices”
·
Develops employees assigned to the department, ensuring the
correct application of tools and policies on training, career path and
evaluations and inputs to compensation systems
Qualifications
·
Bachelors Degree in any of the following fields:- Electrical,
Electronics, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Metallurgy, Chemical, Manufacturing,
Production, Civil Engineering or its equivalent qualification from a recognized
institution.
·
Masters degree Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Mechatronics,
Metallurgy, Chemical, Manufacturing, Production, Civil Engineering or its
equivalent qualification from a recognized company/ Masters in Business
Administration
Professional Qualifications / Membership to professional bodies
·
Have Certificate in Management Course from a recognized
institution;
·
Proficient in manufacturing design software (CAD,CAM, FEA)
·
Be registered by the Engineers Board of Kenya or its recognized
Engineering Body
·
Be a member of the Institute of Engineers of Kenya
·
A minimum of 12 years of relevant work experience in manufacturing

Internal Audit Manager

The position holder serves to carry out independent review and
objective audits for the company in order to provide assurance that the company’s
internal control systems effectively and efficiently support achievement of the
company’s overall objectives and make value adding recommendations for their
improvement.
Responsibilities

Supervise and guide staff in Audit Unit
·
Promote good Corporate Governance and compliance with various laws
and regulations impacting on the company’s operations
·
Liaise with the external auditors
·
Coordinate responses to management letters from the external
auditors
·
Coordinate preparation of Public Investment Committee (PIC)
reports and follow up on the implementing their recommendations.

Interpret financial policies to promote sound auditing
principles/practices

Oversee the training and development of staff in the Internal
Audit Unit
·
Conduct annual performance appraisal of staff against set targets

Qualifications

Bachelors Degree in Commerce (Finance/Accounting/Auditing
option),Economics or its equivalent qualification from recognized company;

Science (Finance or Accounting Option) or its equivalent qualification from
recognized institution.

CPA-K or ACCA-Final (Registered with ICPAK)

Have a Certificate in Management Course lasting not less than four

A total of at least 7 years of experience with at least 3 years of

Responsibilities

·
Team leader, coach and advocate for entire workforce

Advise the Managing Director on administrative matters of the

Qualifications

Bachelors Degree in any of the following disciplines: Human
Resource Management, Human Resource Development, Social Science, Business
Administration (Human Resource Management option) or its equivalent
qualification from a recognized Institution;

Masters Degree in any of the following disciplines: Human Resource
Management/Development, Business Administration (Human Resource Management
option) or its equivalent qualification from a recognized Company;
Professional Qualifications / Membership to professional bodies
·
Post graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management, Industrial
Relations, Business/Public Administration or its equivalent qualification from
a recognized Institution
·
have a Certificate in Management Course lasting not less than four
(4) weeks from a recognized institution
·
Member of IHRM
·
At least 10 years’ work experience 3 of which should be in a
supervisory role.
Note:
All the above positions are on permanent and pensionable terms of
service except for the Managing Director which is on a five (5) year renewable
contract.
