Job Title: Category Executive
Department: Sales and Distribution
Reports To: Category Manager
Main Purpose of this Position: Implementing Category management plans, optimizing marketing, sales and distribution strategy of the assigned category by effectively executing approved plans and strategies.
Key Deliverables for this Position

·         Implementing product category sales, marketing & distribution strategies.
·         Responsible for sales growth and EBITDA target achievement for category
·         Establishing and implementing support systems for execution excellence
·         Achieve category cost targets.
Key Responsibilities
·         Implement the departmental strategy through processes and procedures to achieve the organization’s objectives
·         Ensuring respective category is available and visible at all points of sales in general and modern trade.
·         Execute agreed and approved strategies and plans including promotions, merchandising activities, launches, activations (ATL & BTL).
·         Ensuring merchandising material is appropriately placed at all Point of Sales (POS).
·         Identifying growth and innovation opportunities through generation of consumer and market insights.
·         Conduct regular and continuous monitoring of competitor activities and recommend appropriate measures.
·         Developing and cascading the individual targets through a performance management structure while inspiring team to achieve the section scorecard in line with overall objective
·         Generation of periodic relevant reports on category performance
·         Implementing best practices in category management & respective areas of work
·         Implementing product quality, customer & Service Excellence and Change initiatives to achieve desired business plans and culture.

Job Title: Area Sales Manager
Department & Section:Sales and Distribution
Reports To: Country Sales Manager
Location: Kenya
Main Purpose of this Position: To achieve area sales targets by delivering growth, profitability and cash flow targets to meet business objectives
Key Deliverables for this Position
·         Achieve growth, profitability and cashflow targets for the respective area
·         Achieve secondary sales targets
·         Achieve Customer Satisfaction targets
·         Achieve Cost targets
Key Responsibilities
·         Implementing the sales strategy while monitoring the scope areas in line with overall strategy, policies, processes and procedures achieve the institutions objectives.
·         Acquiring new direct and indirect customers to enhance business scope.
·         Implement route to market, ensuring accurate and timely tracking & reporting of primary and secondary sales of teams.

·         Developing customer relationships through regular operational reviews to ensure that product availability, distribution and seize opportunities.
·         Ensuring achievement of secondary sales targets through distributors, monitoring and reporting to achieve respective set territory objectives.
·         Cascading the area sales targets through a performance management structure while inspiring team to achieve the section scorecard in line with overall objective.
·         Reporting market trends, competitive information on sales, product development and merchandising for growth of sales and profitability.
·         Achieve on time in-full and error free customer orders and liquidate slow moving and dead stocks.
·         Managing talent in respective territory including coaching, mentoring, developing, motivating, training and evaluating staff to achieve highest levels of performance
·         Implementing best practices in respective areas of work
