Medical Specialist (Pathologist)

Salary: Job Group ‘I”

Responsibilities

·         Provide overall pathology service in the entire county;

·         Provide consultation as a pathologist and interpretation of laboratory diagnoses;
·         Will be an active member of the health care team in the county health facility;
·         Any other duty as may be assigned from time to time.

Requirements

·         Be a Kenyan citizen;
·         Be a holder of Bachelor in Medicine & Surgery (MBCHB) or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
·         Holder of a M. Med in Pathology from a recognised institution;
·         Registered with/Iicensed by the Kenya Medical Practitioners’ and Dentists Board;
·         Has at least 3 years working experience in the relevant field;
·         Demonstrate a good understanding of the mandate, health policies, health policies, mission and vision of Kajiado County;
·         Must be a professional of high integrity, intelligence and energy;
·         Must have good inter-personal and communication skills;
·         Proficiency in computer applications;
·         Satisfy the requirement of Chapter Six of the Constitution.


Pharmacist
Ref: KCPSB/PHARMA/2018
Terms of Service: Permanent & Pensionable
Salary: Job Group ’11/1′

Responsibilities

·         Management of pharmaceutical services at the health facility;
·         Examination and filing of prescriptions;
·         Provide drugs quality control;
·         Inspection and examining samples of drugs supplies;
·         Liaise with other health personnel to avoid bottlenecks in the flow of treatment of patients;
·         Supervision and development of technologists and other staff under direct supervision of the officer;
·         Any other duty as may be assigned from time to time.

Requirements

·         Be a Kenyan citizen;
·         Holds a B.Sc. Degree in Pharmacy from a recognized institution;
·         Must have completed at least 1 year of internship and registered with the Pharmacy and Poisons Board;

Responsibilities

·         Overall health care service delivery in the county and sub-county hospitals;
·         Provide consultation, monitoring and follow up on patients;
·         Review existing inpatient/outpatient activities and processes;
·         Provide mentor-ship and supervisory roles to supervises;
·         Work on quality care improvement;
·         Formulation and implementation of health care programs;
·         Development and implementation of strategic plan and work plans;
·         Any other duty as may be assigned from time to time.

Requirements

·         Be a Kenyan citizen;
·         Holds a B.Sc. Degree in Dental Surgery from a recognized institution;
·         Must have completed at least 1 year of internship and registered with the Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board;

·         Must be a professional of high integrity, intelligence and energy;

Responsibilities

·         To provide overall ENT service in the entire county;
·         Will be an active member of the health care team in the hospital;
·         Any other duty as may be assigned from time to time.

Requirements

·         Be a Kenyan citizen;
·         Be a holder of Bachelor in Medicine & Surgery (MBCHB) or equivalent qualification from a recognised institution;
·         Be a holder of Master of Medicine in Ear, Nose & Throat or equivalent qualification from a recognised institution;
·         Certificate of registration by Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board;
·         At least 3 years’ experience in the relevant field;
·         Demonstrate a good understanding of the mandate, health policies, health policies, mission and vision of Kajiado County;
·         Must be a professional of high integrity, intelligence and energy;

Nutrition and Dietetics Technologist III
Ref: KCPSB/NDT-III (H)/2018
Terms of Service: Permanent & Pensionable
Salary: Job Group ‘H’

Responsibilities

·         Planning formulating and managing therapeutic diets for outpatients and in patients;
·         Providing guidelines on therapeutic diets for existing and emerging diseases for hospital use and home based care and other institutions;
·         Treating and counselling patients using specialized dietetic nutritionally modified products;
·         Implementing the nutrition and dietetic process including screening;
·         Assessing, formulating and implementing nutrition interventions and evaluating outcomes;
·         Collecting and compiling nutrition and diabetic data;
·         Conducting nutrition related research;
·         Any other duty as may be assigned from time to time.

Requirements

·         Kenyan citizen;
·         Be a holder of Diploma in either Community Nutrition, Clinical Nutrition or Foods, Nutrition & Diabetics or Diabetics/Clinical Nutrition or Food Science & Nutrition or Home Economics or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
·         Registered by the Council of the Institute of Nutritionists and Dialecticians (CIND);
·         Must be a professional of high integrity, intelligence and energy;
·         Must have good inter-personal and communication skills;
·         Proficiency in computer applications;
·         Satisfy the requirement of Chapter Six of the Constitution.
