Qualifications

Investigation Officer

Human Capital Management (HR Management
Services)
The National Police Service Commission is an Independent
Commission established under Article 246 of the Constitution of Kenya.
Applications are invited from qualified candidates to fill
the following vacant position at the National Police Service Commission.

Responsibilities
·
Develop and monitor the
implementation of the human capital management strategy;
·
Develop department policies and
procedures to provide guidance in the delivery of the human capital strategy in
line with best practice;
·
Monitor compliance with the
commission human capital policies and procedures, and the employment laws and
regulations of Kenya;
·
Develop and monitor the effective
utilization of the directorate budget;
·
Oversee recruitment, appointments,
promotions, remuneration, staff training and development of staff;
·
Assist the Director, Human Capital
Management in the management of the HR functions in the Commission;
·
Oversee the preparation of the agenda
and minutes of HR committees and HR agenda for the Commission Board meetings;
·
Develop the division work plan from
the human capital strategy;
·
Develop, monitor and evaluate the
performance of staff through the performance contracting and Performance
Appraisal System;
·
Participate in the discipline
management through the provision of advice on resolution of cases on discipline;
·
Monitor the implementation of
processes and procedures in human resource management;
·
Development of HR planning process
including budgeting, procurement of manpower documentation and placement,
innovative remuneration reward systems that are appropriate and
·
Ensure proper implementation of
retirement and pensions schemes to assist in making exits manageable.
Qualifications
·
Masters degree in HR related field,
Strategic Management, Business Administration, Public Administration or any
related field from a recognized institution;
·
Bachelors degree in Human Resource or
any Social Sciences subject from a recognized university with a Diploma in
Human Resources;
·
Higher Diploma in Human Resources
from a recognized institution
·

Human Capital Management Internship
In line with Government Internship Policy, the Commission
intends to offer internship opportunities to qualified youth in the area of Human
Capital Management to accord them an opportunity to gain practical work
experience which will improve their competencies and competitiveness in their
career life.
The internship program aims at providing the youth an
opportunity for on-the-job experience to build upon skills learned at school
and for professional development hence, enhance their employability. In this
regard, the Commission seeks to recruit qualified youth for these positions.
Thirty (30) internship opportunities in Human Capital
Management (HCM) only.
Qualifications
·
Bachelors Degree from a recognized
institution in Human Resources Management or any Social Science field with a
diploma in Human Resource Management
·
Be unemployed Kenyan aged between 20
and 34 years
·
Must not have benefited from a
similar program
·
Not retired or exited from formal
employment
·
Must have completed their training
and graduated with documentary proof of qualificationOther Requirements
Other requirements the successful interns will be required
to have in line with the internship policy and guidelines for the Commission
are as follows; –

the internship period

Duration of internship
The above positions are on a six (6) months renewable
contract. The individuals recruited shall be of high integrity and must satisfy
the requirement of leadership and integrity set out in Chapter six (6) of the
Constitution of Kenya.
