Social Media Manager
Responsibilities
·
Generate, edit, publish and share
daily content (original text, images, video or HTML) that builds meaningful
connections and encourages community members to take action
·
Set up and optimize company pages
within each platform to increase the visibility of company’s social content
·
Moderate all user-generated content
in line with the moderation policy for each community
·
Create editorial calendars and
syndication schedules
·
Continuously improve by capturing and
analyzing the appropriate social data/metrics, insights and best practices, and
then acting on the information
·
Collaborate with other departments
(customer care, sales etc) to manage reputation, identify key players and
coordinate actions
·
Build and execute social media
strategy through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking,
messaging and audience identification
Qualifications

Proven working experience in social
media or related field at least three years
·
Excellent consulting, writing,
editing (photo/video/text), presentation and communication skills
·
Demonstrable social networking
experience and social analytics tools knowledge

Adequate knowledge of web design, web
development, CRO and SEO
·
Knowledge of online marketing and
good understanding of major marketing channels
·

Accountant
Reports to: Head of Finance and Administration
Job Summary
The position is responsible for processing of financial
transactions, maintaining financial records, providing adequate accounting
information, ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures,
maintain accounting controls, proper custody of financial records, and
safeguarding the assets of the organization.
Responsibilities
Resource Mobilization Processing of
Financial Transactions
·
Developing Imaginative fundraising
activities which involve organizing events and other income generating
activities for raising awareness for savvy Riders
·
Writing Proposal that could attract
funds including applications for grants.
Asset Management, Furniture and
Equipment
·
Ensure that premises, furniture and
equipment are well maintained and are in serviceable and good working condition
·
Ensure leases, tenancy agreements,
service and maintenance contracts are in place where necessary or applicable.
Processing of Financial Transactions
·
Raise cheque requisition, make
payment of vouchers, and ensure payment requests are duly approved/signed.
·
Verify all payments for accuracy and
adherence to budget provisions before submission for approval.
·
Invoice debtors and receive payments
on behalf of the company.
·
Process monthly payroll including
update of new staff records, effect voluntary and statutory deductions, and
disburse funds to respective staff bank accounts and other recipients.
Banking
·
Timely banking of funds in the
right/designated accounts.
·
Monitor operations of bank accounts
to ensure availability of funds for issued payments.
·
Track bank balances and monitor cash
flow requirements.
·
Undertake monthly bank
reconciliations and follow-up on outstanding issues.
·
Assist in the preparation of periodic
cash-flow statement.
Monthly Management Reports
·
Submitting Monthly reports to the
Managing Director
·
Maintain up-to-date financial records
in respect to all financial transactions.
·
Carry out daily reconciliation on
financial transactions captured in the financial records and update in the
accounting system.
·
Address issues arising from financial
transactions without undue delay.
·
Make sure that accounting documents
are securely kept.
Statutory Deductions
·
Effect and make timely remittance of
statutory deductions to relevant authorities by the due dates (e.g. PAYE. NHIF,
NSSF, HELB, DIT, Provident Fund etc).
·
Compile annual returns and forward
the same to the relevant authorities.
Financial Reporting
·
Prepare financial statements and
narrative for specific grant reporting and audit requirements in accordance
with reporting timelines.
·
Prepare reports-Ensure timely reports
to various stakeholders and review budgets, revenue, expense , payroll entries,
invoices and other accounting documents required for partner reporting.
·
Internal reports-preparation of
monthly reports that have to submitted before the 5th of the following month.
·
Preparations of cash flows projections
and preparation of financial reports like P & L cash flow variance analysis
and commentaries.
·
Budget control- Preparation of a
master budget for savvy rides and monitor the compliance aspect of the approved
budget. Conduct quarterly budget reviews.
Financial Management
·
Assist in the preparation and
monitoring of budgets.
·
Maintain an accurate and up to date
fixed asset register for the organization.
·
Prepare accounting records in a
timely manner for annual and specific project external audits.
·
Assist in the coordination of
external audits.
·
Provide support in audit of projects
as and when directed.
·
Carry out any other duties and
responsibilities which may be assigned by the management from time to time.
Qualifications
·
A bachelor’s degree in finance or relevant
business field
·
CPA (K)

At least five years relevant working
experience two years of which must have been in a similar position in a large
and busy Company.
Authority/Decision Making
The individual makes recommendations to the Executive
Director on issues relating to financial management, operations, logistics and
general administration within the organization.
Special Working Conditions
The individual works within an office setup but
occasionally works long hours to meet deadlines and attend meetings in the
evenings.
