Quality Assurance Specialist

Brief Description
Reporting to Manager E-support, Content and Quality Management, Quality Assurance specialist Ensures accuracy of information and quality of delivery of all KQ websites, Mobile platform and all sales applications by performing daily monitoring.
Lead the e-commerce team in testing web based e-commerce systems, applications and web sites to ensure they meet business requirements and quality standards.
The QA Specialist represents discipline for established process while promoting continued process improvement and helps troubleshoot and resolve issues.

Responsibilities

Carrier Preferred display
·         Manage online CPD settings to ensure accurate display of fares and availability
·         Define and Manage online CPD rule settings to ensure accurate flight display based on connection time and selling strategy
·         Manage KQ code share flights with interline partner, only the code share flights are displayed in order to prevent duplicate display
·         Ensure all interline partner fares and availability are displayed on the online booking platform (SPAs)
Business Monitoring
·         Monitor quality of Services Applications: Booking Tool (eBT), ICI, Payment application, flight timetable, flight statue etc
·         Analysis of Usabilla (online feedback tool) to gather feedback and insight.
·         Manage content quality before any content is published on KQ Websites
·         Manage and maintain application content quality
·         Define and maintain quality standards across the online platforms and application
·         Monitor and manage meta search performance and evaluate the nature of traffic (Quality traffic or Robotic traffic) (Use distil reports)
·         Manage quality information of all the landing pages (Over 2000 OnD)
·         Coordination Change process booking tool
·         Real-time monitoring online sales and PNR creation process
·         Introduces advanced development and test techniques to e-commerce team
·         Schedule and conduct A/B testing on all online applications
Error Management
·         Define and document all possible errors in the booking process (Number of errors/warnings against number of booked PNR’s)
·         Define and document all possible error in payment process ( Number of errors/warnings against payment conversion)
·         Design and Implement error friendly message which users are able to relate and understand
·         Real time error Monitor, capture and documentation
·         Procure and implement tools to capture errors in the different online applications i.e Ebt, ICI, Payment, flight timetable, flight status
·         Document and report all technical Errors: 404, 500, session expired, unusual/unexpected browser behavior
·         Manage and document System Errors: Due query resulting in a functional error like fare quote, combination not bookable etc.
·         Manage and document User Generated Errors: User input
Project Participation
·         Define and manage business test plans and process
1.   Creates detailed test strategies, plans and cases against requirements and system analysis
2.   Utilizes tools and techniques to perform test efficiently
·         Ensure business quality standards have been applied in any new application before it availed to customers

·         Provide lessons learned and process improvement reports to project Stakeholders
·         Documents testing and updates project status while managing triage of issues.

Requirements  

·         Bachelor degree in related field
·         At least 3 years of experience in quality assurance role
·         Proficiency in MS office, Internet, Database
·         Implementation experience with Automation tools
·         Experience with automated testing tools and technologies
·         Ability to work quickly and meet deadlines in a dynamic fast-paced environment.

Distribution Analyst

Brief Description
Liaison with Global Distribution System (GDS) providers to ensure optimal availability of KQ inventory globally and to achieve the lowest possible cost of distribution through contractual negotiations with GDS’s and other initiatives, as well as analysis and reporting on system use to sensitize sales outlets on effective and efficient use of Computer Reservations Systems (CRS).

Responsibilities

·         Liaise with various GDSs to provide the best possible options for the distribution of the KQ inventory.
·         Analyze all GDS costs to identify areas of wastage.
·         Participate in implementation of projects impacting on the Reservations and Inventory System e.g. PROS, Sabre Air price and Contract Composure.
·         Budgeting, Monitoring and evaluating the 2.1 Billion Ksh worth Cost Centre (7304) expenditure to ensure it’s within Budget
·         Monthly analysis of GDS/ARS invoices to ensure accurate billing to the airline by the GDS.
·         Provide timely and accurate reports on GDS activity and recommend on strategies that can be developed to improve distribution efficiency.
·         Provide monthly reports namely Cost Centre, CRS Cost, Schedule Change Cost, Drilldown (to PNR level) and
·         Area of Sale (Revenues against CRS costs) to Country / Area Managers, Sales Teams, Business Performance and Revenue Management teams.

Requirements

·         University graduate in a business related field.
·         Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite combined with in depth exposure to Analytical Software.
·         Excellent skills in analysis for high quality commercial solutions.
·         Proficiency in Data and systems analysis
·         IATA Certification in fares and ticketing
·         Certification in Reservations systems
·         Certification in Database structured query language (SQL).
·         Presentation skills
·         Strong team leadership skills
·         5 years experience 3 of which must be in Airline sales, finance or revenue management
