Job Vacancy: Credit Manager
Job Summary: The credit manager is accountable for the entire credit granting process, including the consistent application of a credit policy, periodic credit reviews of existing customers, and the assessment of the credit worthiness of potential customers, with the goal of optimizing the mix of growth of the portfolio and the reduction of bad debt losses.
THE KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE OFFICE HOLDER WILL BE;
·         Offer an oversight role in managing society loans
·         Ensure all loans are insured
·         In liaison with marketing department, grow a healthy loan book
·         Ensure the portfolio at risk( par) is maintained at ≤ 5%
·         Verify proper collateral documentation before loan disbursement
·         Ensure security perfection before the loans are disbursed
·         Generate loan reports to the CEO for presentation to the board
·         Approve loans within the limit and facilitate further approval by the CEO/deputy CEO for loans above the limit
·         In liaison with the marketing departments, develop and review the loan products periodically
·         Handle customers with difficult loan cases
·         Improve and implement laid down operational procedures
·         Supervise and appraise the credit officers
·         Market and cross-sell the Sacco products and services
THE HOLDER OF THE CREDIT MANAGER POSITION MUST;

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
·         Degree in a business related field
·         CPA part 2
·         Diploma in co-operative management or credit management added advantage
·         Computer proficiency especially in accounting packages and systems
·         Knowledge of society’s loans products
·         Knowledge of operation of various Sacco software systems an added advantage
·         At least three years’ experience in a related field


Marketing Manager
JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking to recruit an experienced and self-motivated individual to the position of a marketing manager to propel the society brand to new heights.
The role of the job holder will require someone with a breadth of skills across brand marketing, branch management and product development with great insight and intuition.
In particular the job holder will be a person with an interest in an open membership based society, with a strategic outlook and exemplary execution skills.
Reporting to the chief executive officer and working closely with the branch managers, the key responsibilities will be to;
·         Develop and provide leadership in implementation of marketing and communication strategy to achieve the society’s business and corporate strategies;
·         Contribute to the development and refinement of the society’s marketing vision and strategy;
·         Lead the marketing function and identify , analyze and implement new business growth opportunities;
·         Implement marketing, advertising and promotional tasks and carry out effective management of the marketing , advertising and promotional activities in the society;
·         Support creation of data-driven,dynamic, ‘Voice of the customer’ marketing strategies and tests that deliver against return on investment targets through a segmented customer base across diverse marketing channels.
·         Ensure consistent brand messaging across ordinary, digital and social media marketing channels;
·         Provide feedback into product development and service offers, participate in their development and collaboration to create , launch and track performance of product and service offerings in our markets;
·         Prepare annual marketing plans and forecasts for the Sacco;
·         Evaluate marketing effectiveness by allocating , managing and monitoring advertisement and promotion budgets periodically;
·         Direct and analyze regular market research in order to develop insights for product development, brand positioning and brand equity growth;

·         Carry out market intelligence and surveys , accelerate growth in membership and product uptake;
·         Execute and integrate online and offline marketing initiatives including mass media , email, print, direct mail, social media, company websites, branch awareness and other marketing initiatives.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
·         Bachelor’s degree in marketing
·         Diploma in co-operative management or a business related field- added advantage
·         Computer proficiency in computer application, especially in accounting packages and systems
·         Thorough knowledge of the society’s products and services
·         Knowledge of the operating environment
·         Possession of a clean driving license added advantage
·         At least two years’ experience in a similar capacity or banking experience


INTERNAL AUDITOR
JOB DESCRIPTION: The internal auditors’ functions include, among other things, monitoring internal control, independent consulting and assurance on activities designed to add value and improve the Sacco’s operations.
By way of ensuring improvement of a Sacco’s operations in terms of; Governance, day to day operations, internal control systems and compliance to the laws and Regulations.
Key responsibilities are:-
·         Reporting functionally to the Audit committee and administratively to the Chief Executive Officer.
·         Review the credibility and integrity of financial statements by ensuring the financial statements of the Sacco have been prepared in accordance with the IFRS, IAS, SASRA guidelines and the Sacco Societies Act and that the information contained in the financial statements is complete and reliable for effective decision making.
·         Check that all activities done by the Sacco are in conformity with the existing laws and Regulations. This will entail the internal auditor ensuring that the Sacco does not contravene among others; SASRA guidelines, the Sacco Act, CBK Act, the labour laws, NSSF
·         Act and other relevant Acts and laws.
·         Review the economic efficiency and effectiveness in the utilization of the Sacco resources so that its objectives are achieved.
·         The internal auditor will also review the adequacy, design and effectiveness of the Internal Control Systems. This will by monitoring the quality of such controls, detect any weakness and provide recommendation for improvement.
·         Assisting the BOD in the governance of the Sacco by advising on the direction in various issues through promotion of ethics and culture of the Sacco so that the institution is held as member focused by concentrating on savings and credit facilities.
·         Coordinate work with Risk, Legal & Compliance and other control related activities and with others within Internal Audit while conducting risk assessments and identifies controls in place to mitigate identified risks.
·         Be able to institute fraud detection steps in audit programs; investigating allegations of fraud, and reviewing fraud prevention controls and detection processes put in place by management, making recommendations for improvement and on corrections or enhancements needed to maintain and improve effective and compliant operations.
·         Maintaining files and supporting documentation for audits and other assignments
·         Identifying and qualifying key business risks estimating the probability of occurrences and the impact on the Sacco and making appropriate recommendations.
·         Any other duty as may be assigned by the CEO.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
·         Bachelor of commerce degree (Accounting or finance option)
·         Be a fully qualified accountant under the accountants act- CPA (K), ACCA and registered with ICPAK.
·         Minimum 3 years audit experience in a busy organization
·         Computer proficiency especially in accounting packages and systems
·         Must have been involved in audit service of financial statements
·         Knowledge of various Sacco software systems an added advantage
·         Knowledge of government and other stakeholders rules and REGULATION
