Recruitment of Volunteer
Graduate AssistantsCohort Four Under the G-United
National Volunteer Programme
The Ministry of Education seeks to
recruit a total of 1,300 young Kenyan graduates to join the fourth cohort of
Kenya’s G-United National Volunteer Programme.
The program targets recent Kenyan
university graduates aged 22 -30 years old to volunteer in 20 counties.
This year, 1,300 young Kenyans will
be recruited to the programme.
They will undertake a week-long
training which includes professional skills training, and subsequently be
deployed to serve in selected counties.
G-United is looking for self-driven,
hardworking and passionate Kenyan graduates to experience life in a new county
and become a generation of leaders and change-makers. Volunteers become
“education ambassadors” who provide remedial education support to young
learners and contribute to the improvement of the quality of education in Kenya.
In addition to this, G-United
volunteers are encouraged to initiate social community projects of their choice
within the local communities, which helps improve the quality of living.
For their upkeep, volunteers receive
a monthly KES 6,000 stipend, along with NHIF cover.
G-United has successfully deployed
over 800 young graduates over the past 3 years to a total of 20 counties across
Kenya.
