Vacant Position: Business Analyst

Role Purpose: This position is responsible for managing efficient and effective end to end implementation of voice price lists, voice traffic routing, billing (both voice and data) and service quality management in accordance with the set standards and processes.
He/She will also be responsible for analyzing and reporting relevant departmental performance measurements for decision making across the department on tactical and operational levels (Business KPIs, Objectives and Business Intelligence).
Key Duties and Responsibilities
·         Coordinate and monitor billing tasks from sales, service delivery and IT teams.
·         Prepare accurate and timely billing schedules and invoices for voice and data services(Hubbing, Transit, Kenya Terminating, Backbone, Cross connections, IRU,VSAT, Collocation ,and other services)
·         Develop, deploy and Manage Supplier inventory system for capacity and collocation service providers.
·         Ensure seamless engagement with relevant stakeholders.
·         Provide a support service for the execution and management of sales orders and billing for the department.
·         Identify and implement optimization opportunities for processes and procedures across the department to optimize cost and support efficiency.
Academic / Professional Qualifications
·         Bachelor’s Degree in Telecommunication Engineering, BBIT, Business Management or a related field from a recognized Institution.
·         Skills in Databases (Oracle/MYSQL) and UNIX scripting.
·         Skills web programming
·         Good knowledge of telecom industry with preferably good understanding of Interconnect, roaming and billing.
·         2- 5 years’ experience in Business Intelligence, Project management and Process Optimization.

Vacant Position: Key Account Manager – Public Sector
Region: Nairobi
Reporting to: Head of Public Sector
Band: 3
Department: Enterprise Division
Role Purpose: Reporting to the Head of Public Sector, the job holder will be required to implement and drive the sales strategy and action plans for the sales and distribution of Telkom product and services for Public Sector Enterprise customers.
Furthermore, he/she must facilitate and enable the meeting of sales targets and revenue margins across the customer network within Public Sector.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
·         Achieve the sales targets through new and existing business.
·         Contribute to the cost savings target of the business
·         Forecast and monitor sales for current and new customers
·         Monitor the profitability for customers and propose the appropriate plans
·         Build and maintain relationships with customers. Conduct joint customer meetings to drive volumes and profitability.
·         Develop business plan, lead the sales pitch and negotiate the contractual agreements based on the set guidelines
·         Develop and demonstrate a thorough understanding of the customer business
·         Conduct analysis of customer, customers and sales metrics, costs and categories to inform business decisions

·         Ensure the effective management of the customer account and timeous problem solving
·         Forecast and maintain sales plans and stock levels (if required) with customers.
·         Ensure the accuracy of the first bill as per the signed agreement
·         Develop and recommend business plans in conjunction with customers and customers to drive business growth

Academic / Professional Qualifications
·         Relevant Business degree in Sales, Marketing or Economics, MBA would be an added advantage
·         3 – 5 years’ experience in Marketing Management, Sales management, Relationship management
·         Experience in high dollar value consultative selling and relationship management preferably within major accounts

Vacant Position: Area Sales Manager
Region: Nairobi

Reporting to: Regional Sales Manager
Department: Mobile Sales.
Role Purpose: This position is responsible for understanding and developing assigned territory to maximize and grow revenue and profits through effective management of TKL partners and selling of TKL products and services to existing customers and acquiring new business in the assigned area.
This by ensuring visibility and availability of the company’s products and services in the area at all times and effectively aligning partners to meet the retail market objectives.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Grow Sales
·         Within the assigned Area he/she will ensure sales growth by developing innovative ways of increasing/growing airtime sales at the Point of Purchase; Value added services and connections by ensuring availability of the company products at all times within the area of Accountability; Generating and analyzing qualitative performance of the business.
Distribution
·         Effective implementation of distribution strategy in the trade to achieve availability and grow sales within the assigned area; Follow through documented and actual implementation of trade distribution routines as per business Distribution Strategy/objectives;
·         Attainment of Outlet Penetration (No. of new outlets including Non Traditional Channels); Attainment of Communicated agreed targets; Adherence and completion of Daily, monthly trade routes and attainment of distribution service targets.
Sales Targets and Routines / Processes
·         Achievement of the area’s Monthly, Quarterly, Semi Annually or Annual sales targets.
·         Ensure internal collaboration, team work development and implementation of key Management and sales routines; Airtime Usage and Sales; Subscriber acquisition/connection
·         Implementation and adoption of approved market routines in the Area of accountability.
Development of sales programs and branding
·         Prepare, plan and execute Area Sales programs aimed at market penetration, availability of the company products and services at all time and ensure shops are well branded according to Telkom Kenya brand guidelines in order to create awareness & ensure that stores are well stocked and sell at recommended sales prices;
·         Documented and approved Monthly/Quarterly territory Plans aligned to the Area Business Plan;
·         Effective executed sales programs in the Area as per targets set in the plan (number and Quality/Results of promotions/Road shows held).
Academic / Professional Qualifications
·         Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce or a related field from a recognized Institution.
·         Minimum of 2 years’ experience in customer service, sales management or trade execution.
Professional Knowledge
·         Should be able to demonstrate experience in brand management and high level knowledge of the sponsorship environment
·         Should be able to demonstrate understanding of the role of sponsorship to deliver commercial and brand objectives
·         Knowledge of ethics and corporate governance ethos.
·         Strong communication and presentation skills.

Professional Skills:
·         Good knowledge of different handsets and their performances, modern communication techniques: mobile fax, data transmissions
