Senior Legal Officer

Position Function: Reporting to the Company Secretary & Head of Legal
Services, the position is responsible for facilitating the execution of legal
mandate of the Bank by providing efficient and effective legal services as will
be required.
This include management of legal
risks and compliance with relevant legal statutes.
Key Responsibilities
·
Verify security documents and ensure
that they are duly registered as required.
·
Liaise with external lawyers,
valuers, auctioneers and other consultants for effective management of
services.
·
Process legal documents pertaining to
loans.
·
Draw legal contracts, leases and
other legal documents and ensure they are signed, sealed by authorised
signatories.
·
Follow up on litigation matters and
attend court cases.
·
Conduct legal research on legal
issues and statutes guiding the operations of Bank and ensuring recovery of
monies owed to the bank by debtors.
·
Undertake assessment of fee notes for
advocates and other consultants engaged by the Bank and witnessing of Bank
documents.
·
Provide legal advice to the
Management of the Bank.
·
Managing all insurance policies and claims
for the Bank.
·
Negotiate on insurance renewals and
execute all insurance policy agreements.
·
Advise on risk areas that may arise
and ensuring they are adequately covered by relevant policies.
·
Maintain and update the insurance
assets register.
·
Prepare budgets for renewal and
advise on controlling expenditure.
·
Attend to customer complaints and
inquiries.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
·
Bachelor of Laws degree from a
recognised university.
·
Post graduate Diploma in law from the
Kenya School of Law.
·
Certificate of Admission as an
Advocate of the High Court.
·
CPS (K) qualification will be added
advantage.
·
Computer proficiency.
·
3 years post admission working
experience.
Terms of Service and
Remuneration: The appointments will be for a
contractual period of three years, renewable for a similar period of time
subject to satisfactory performance and delivery of set performance targets and

Manager, Financial
Accounting & Reporting

Position
Function: Reporting to the Head Finance
and Accounts, the position is responsible for formulating, implementing and
enforcing of accounting and internal control systems.
It is also responsible for overall
management of the Bank reconciliation’s, suspense accounts reconciliation, and
financial reporting.
The office holder will be required to
prepare accurate, timely and reliable periodic financial reports for external
and internal stakeholders.
Key
Responsibilities
·
Oversee preparation of financial
reports and ensure Banks compliance with all statutory requirements.
·
Coordinate preparation of audit
schedules in readiness for both the internal and external audit.
·
Review internal and external audit
reports and critically evaluate findings and recommendations for adoption by
Management.
·
Oversee the preparation and
implementation of the budget and management of fixed asset register and stores.
·
Monitor reconciliation of all Cash
and Bank accounts, Debtors and Bank tenant’s subsidiary against the general
ledger.
·
Manage the fixed assets including
ensuring that the register is regularly maintained and up to date and in line
with the bank’s laid down policies and procedures.
·
Supervise, appraise, guide mentor and
train staff while ensuring maximum staff productivity.
Knowledge,
Skills and Abilities
·
Bachelors Degree in a Finance or
Accounting field.
·
Certified Public Accountant (CPA (K),
ACCA or CFA qualification.
·
Member of the Institute of Certified
Public Accountants of Kenya
·
ICT Proficiency.
·
Experience in leading various
multiple teams and ability to work effectively across teams.
·
7 years satisfactory service and
relevant work experience in Finance & Accounts 3 of which should be at
Managerial level.

Analyst

Position
Function: Reporting to the office of the
Manager, Systems & Alternate Channels, the position is responsible for
ensuring proper and effective systems analysis and design, for maintenance of
efficient business application systems.
Key
Responsibilities
·
Establish the overall structure for
the whole system.
·
Design new computer programs by analyzing
requirements; constructing workflow charts and diagrams; studying system
capabilities; writing specifications and making appropriate recommendations
that will positively impact operational effectiveness
·
Cover aspects of the system such as
the component structure, the function modularity, the deployment and the
interface with other systems.
·
Create and maintain project schedules
by developing project plans and specifications, estimating time requirements,
establishing deadlines, monitoring milestone completion, tracking all phases of
the project product/service lifecycle
·
Test critical programs in order to
test their functionalities.
·
Carryout System scoping and Identify
System resources.
·
Coordinate outsourced relationship
for 3rd party application development and programming consultants.
·
Maintain computer systems and
programming guidelines by writing and updating policies and procedures.
·
Supervise, appraise, guide mentor and
train staff while ensuring maximum staff productivity.
Knowledge,
Skills and Abilities
·
B.SC in Computer science or an
equivalent degree course.
·
Development of Oracle applications,
use of PL/SQL
·
DBA skills using MSQL and Oracle
RDMBS
·
Proficiency in programming languages
like HTML5, C, C++, iOS, Java, Objective-C. etc. is the main qualification.
Basic knowledge of interface design and development will be an added advantage.
·
Web service technologies,
specifically REST APIs, Service oriented designs and technologies (AJAX.
XML/JSON).
·
Proficient in the use of MS Office
applications, such as Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel
·
Experience on Electronic transacting
Platform (switch)
·
Experience on Mobile Banking
Gateways.
·
2 Years in a busy ICT environment
