Position Title: Dealer

Reporting to: Head Treasury
Position Scope: The job holder will be responsible for supporting the Retail and Amanah Banking Divisions.
He/ she will be required to ensure efficient and effective service delivery of the full range of related treasury products and contribute to forex income for the Bank.
The objective for the role is to increase the share of Forex income to the Bank by motivating new business and yielding value out of existing client relationships for sustainability.
Key responsibilities:
·         Support the Retail and Amanah Divisions in implementing of the treasury strategy by covering all treasury products and specified customer segments.
·         Identify, target and market to new and existing customers with the aim of growing the Bank’s portfolio and meeting customers’ need.
·         Actively support product development aimed at meeting the growing demands of the Retail and Amanah Divisions’ forex clients.
·         Market the various treasury products and provide innovative solutions to existing and potential customers with a view to increase the wallet share(e.g. spot, forwards, swaps)
·         Carry out research and market intelligence on new trends and competitor activities on behalf of the business units supported and treasury department for insightful advisory.
·         Actively manage individual call sheets, consistently updating/ reviewing the same regularly with a view to maximise returns and conversion of customers to long term relationships.
·         Efficiently and effectively serve clients by prompt pricing, quality input on market trends and regular and proactive contact.
·         Prepare and share business performance reports for existing relationships with a view to advice on achievement of objectives and monitor completeness of revenue collection.
·         Prepare and share Informative and objective Market Briefs to customers.
Marketing Support
·         Support consumer promotions for Treasury related products for Businesses units supported.
·         Participate and provide support on the competitive analysis on tariffs for the Bank’s forex products for the Business units supported.
·         Follow up on client visits to monitor and close leads generate from marketing events.
Skills & Experience:
·         A University degree in Economics or business related field
·         A master’s degree in a business or related field will be an added advantage
·         CI Dealing Certification
·         Treasury related professional qualification
·         Experience in foreign exchange trading
·         Experience in risk managing of portfolios
·         Experience of both trading FX and money markets

Position Title: Relationship Manager, Corporate & Private Sector

Division: Corporate Banking Division
Reporting to: Head, Corporate & Private Sector
Position Scope: The Job holder will be required to onboard new Corporate Banking clients , manage his/her corporate portfolio to ensure revenue returns while managing costs and ensuring the customer’s needs are satisfied through various financial solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
·         Grow the Bank’s revenues from both new and existing clients by enhancing transactional, trade and foreign exchange volumes., while managing costs to enhance profitability
·         Identify potential new business opportunities and consistently generate innovative ideas for implementing new business opportunities to open corporate accounts and grow the liability book.
·         Develop an intimate understanding of the clients’ industry and business by analysing their management practices, judgement of various influential decision makers, market conditions affecting the long term viability of the business and industry sector, and effectively use this knowledge to continually cross sell the bank’s products to ensure maximization of the customer wallet share.
·         Carry out and document regular client visits
·         Work closely with the Head of Corporate Credit, Credit Managers and Analysts to initiate business deal proposals for new facilities or facility modifications that require assessment of credit, and provide insightful information regarding business strength and vulnerabilities.
·         Proactively identify potential problem accounts and formulate appropriate mitigating strategies.
·         Act as single point of accountability for corporate clients and consistently deliver high quality service to all internal & external customers, while maintaining confidentially of customer information at all times.
·         Coach the associate relationship manager/credit analyst in all aspects of the role and ensure open team communication
·         Ensure 100% compliance to KYC and AML policies and account opening procedures.
·         Stay updated on the security controls in place to protect the branch against criminal and fraudulent activities and unnecessary risk and exposure.
Skills & Experience:
·         Bachelor’s degree in a business related field
·         3 -5 years experience in relationship management or related relevant experience
·         Banking experience, preferably within Corporate or Commercial Banking.
·         Experience in a sales /customer service environment will be an added advantage

Position Title: Manager, Trade Operations

Reporting to: Head- Cash and Corporate Operations
Position Scope:The Job holder will be responsible for providing leadership, management and governance for the Trade Operations department.
He/ she will offer support to Corporate and Institutional Banking and Retail Banking Divisions of the Bank with regard to Trade Operations.
Key Responsibilities:
·         Manage the Trade operations department and provide leadership support for the day to day activities for the team. He / she will ensure accurate and timely execution of all transactions throughout their transaction’s life cycle.
·         Manage the settlement process and related risks, transaction processing over appropriate systems, related accounting entries processing, reporting and communication to third parties.
·         Manage reconciliation activities for all products and services offered under Trade Finance Operations in the Bank considering their SLAs.
·         Lead and develop the trade operations team to ensure efficient operations in strict compliance with the various local and international laws, market set standards and Bank’s risk standards while ensuring continuous improvements on resource management.
·         Effective risk management to protect the Clients’ and Bank’s interests during the day to day operations.
·         Provide guidance for periodic self-assessment checks on key controls in the department to assess the proper functioning and adequacy of controls.
·         Provide management of Business Continuity Plans / Disaster Recovery Plans’ process and documentations recommended by the CBK Prudential guidelines, Bank’s policies and best practice.
·         Monitor stability of system- issues within the department and coordinate for closure of issues raised.
·         Ensure SLA adherence, monitoring & breaches reporting are being upheld in line with the set controls.

·         Oversee Claims investigations and management and any incurred bills processing to vendors for Trade related transactions.
·         Comply with all Bank’s set policies, procedures & guidelines as well as other regulations and standards and report all suspicious activities.
·         Liaise with the Manager – Operational Risk in developing and updating of procedures, controls and monitoring plans for Operational Risk management
·         Management of complaints and communication of action plans to relevant stakeholders
Skills & Experience:
·         A degree in a Business/technical related field from a recognised university
·         Professional qualifications in CPA, ACCA and or Trade Finance
·         Experience in Trade Operations
·         Banking & Finance certification will be an added advantage
·         Eight (8) years working experience in Bank operations, three of which must be at supervisory level within a busy Trade Finance Operations environment.

Position Title: Regional Branch Business Manager – Eastern Region

Reporting to: Director Retail Banking
Position Scope: The successful candidate will be responsible for championing the transformation of branches and providing powerful strategic regional branch leadership, deliver exceptional business growth through optimization of existing branch business channels and development of new business opportunities for all bank products to include; Personal Banking, SEBs, Business Banking, Institutional banking, Commercial Banking and Corporate, Islamic banking, Premium Banking, Diaspora segments and Banca Assurance.
Key responsibilities
·         Formulate and drive business strategies for the region.
·         Assume ownership on branch strategic initiatives and plans that will be aligned to NBK Bank products and that will focus on increasing effectiveness in the controls and customer service.
·         Contribute to and take a practical role in the strategic direction of Regional Branch Business ensuring that the Bank’s objectives as relates to the Region in particular and Retail Banking in general are met.
·         Develop initiatives aimed at cost minimization within the branches and that are geared towards increasing customer convenience and service standards.
·         Ensure new revenue generation through opening up the markets for business opportunities for all NBK products and services.
·         Channel performance reviews and branch business performance analysis reports to the respective business heads.
·         Take leadership in driving new product introductions and commercialization in the region.
·         Responsible for identification, effective set up and commercialization of new branch channels
·         Forecast, plan, implement and monitor all regional sales, cost and expenditure activities within set budget and proactively and promptly device remedial actions to minimize the variances between the budget and actual performance.
·         Co-ordinate all regional activities, CSR and other bank wide programs.
·         Ensure that all processes for product and transactions management, incident management, problem management, change management, customer service management and operational risk management are drawn up ,updated in a timely manner and adhered to
·         Monitor branch TAT observance and customer service standards to achieve operational efficiencies
·         Ensure credit risk management for different branch portfolios is maintained and NPA book is maintained at acceptable levels
·         Coach & mentor the team while adopting best practices in people and performance management in line with laid down HR policies and procedures, with the aim of developing a high performing team.
·         Establish a management and communications structure with respective branches in the area / region to manage transformation, operational actions and execute all branch business deliverables
·         Ensure superior customer offering in the region
·         Ensure optimum utilisation of Bank’s resources in the region.
·         Effective management of risks in the region as per the laid down guidelines and procedures
Skills & Experience:
·         Bachelor’s degree in a business related field
·         Master degree in a business related field will be preferred
·         Ten (10) Years experience in Banking of which five (5) years should be at Branch Management level or a senior Corporate relationship management level
·         Demonstrated experience at management level on product development
·         Sound knowledge of Banking laws & regulations
·         Proficient in computer applications
·         Strategic thinker with good commercial acumen and ability to identify economic opportunities in changing environment and capitalize on them.
