Head of Transaction Banking – Business Development Division
The Head of Transaction Banking will be responsible for developing and implementing Transaction Banking at HFC by: –
·         Identifying and developing cash management and trade finance business in conjunction with the Corporate and Branch Business Banking team to achieve set targets.
·         Structuring cash management and trade solutions to new and existing customers to meet sales goals and targets (revenues and volumes).
·         Spearheading rollout and utilization of alternative banking channels (ABC) – (Internet banking, mobile banking and MasterCard).
The successful applicant will be responsible for the following Key Result Areas:
·         Ensure that working capital product and ABC channels revenues and profitability targets are met and exceeded.
·         Undertake market situation analysis to identify new business opportunities.
·         Understand customers’ businesses and anticipate their requirements.
·         Match customers’ needs with HFC product capabilities through presentations and proposals.
·         Negotiate terms and conditions with customers to maximize revenue and profitability.
·         Offer structured and need based solutions to meet the specific cash management and trade services requirements of our customers and prospects.
·         Monitor, track and report on sales activity on a periodic basis and to ensure action is taken to meet sales targets.
·         Conduct joint calls to ensure sales targets are met, new revenue opportunities are identified and customer feedback is obtained.
·         Ensure smooth deal implementation and while maintaining high levels of service quality.
·         Identify opportunities for cross selling and referrals to other HFC business lines through developing a good understanding of client needs.
·         Ensure customer service issues are addressed to maintain a high level of post sales service.
The ideal candidates should possess:
·         A business related degree from a reputable institution, Masters’ degree is an added advantage.
·         At least 5 years banking experience in cash management, trade sales and retail banking of which 2 years should be at Senior Manager level.
·         Conversant with Microsoft Office packages.
·         Strong appreciation of banking operations, corporate, treasury, retail and transaction banking.

·         Good interpersonal and communication skills.
·         Demonstrated good planning and organisation skills.
·         Strong leadership and management skills.
·         Selling, persuasion and negotiation skills.

Branch Business Manager – Branch Business Division
The Branch Business Manager will be responsible for mobilising deposits and growing the asset book while ensuring compliance to laid down policies and procedures for purposes of effective and efficient management of branch resources and maximising branch profitability and Customer Service.
The successful applicant will be responsible for the following Key Result Areas:
·         Achieve growth of the branch asset and liability book to ensure growth of the branch and increase profits.
·         Oversee the operations of the branch to ensure compliance of laid down policies and procedures.
·         Directing, motivating and developing staff so as to ensure a branch succession plan for branch continuity is in place.
·         Appraising and reviewing of staff performance so that branch strategies are accomplished.
·         Safeguard and oversee the effective and efficient use of branch assets so that set budgets are adhered to.
·         Setting branch strategies in line with company strategy and preparation of relevant reports to monitor and review performance.

The ideal candidates should possess:
·         A business related degree from a reputable institution, Masters’ degree is an added advantage.
·         Professional qualifications- AKIB/ CPA/ACCA.
·         At least 5 years’ experience in management within the Banking Industry and specifically Branch Management experience.
·         Conversant with Microsoft Office packages.
·         Strong credit underwriting skills.
·         Strong appreciation of banking operations, corporate, treasury, retail and transaction banking.
The ideal candidate must possess the following:-

Head of Corporate Banking – Business Development Division
The Head of Corporate Banking will be responsible for leading, managing and motivating a team of Relationship Managers within Corporate & SME unit to;
·         Originate, develop and maintain a portfolio of customers in order to generate revenue for the Bank.
·         Manage client relationships to ensure maintenance of a quality credit book.
The successful applicant will be responsible for the following Key Result Areas:
·         Plan and implement sales and service activities to develop the Corporate & SME portfolio.
·         Provide leadership to a team of Relationship Managers to ensure set targets are met.
·         Management of new and existing clients to attain maximum revenue within acceptable risk profile requirements.
·         Provide oversight in preparation of credit proposals for approval by carrying out detailed financial analysis of the client accounts within defined Bank procedures that meet the client needs.
·         Have pro-active relationship management strategies to protect the Bank’s interests at all times, e.g., potential default, and to meet the clients’ expectations of the relationship.
·         Market to existing and potential clients the full complement of products and services offered by the Bank, in Corporate & SME, Trade, Treasury, Mortgages, Asset Finance, Personal Banking and Project Finance.
·         Cross – selling of bank’s products through joint calling with product partners.
·         Identify through account management, potential defaulting accounts and recommend appropriate remedial action.
·         Manage defaulting accounts by devising an account management strategy to minimize losses to the Bank.
·         Ensure that all related administrative functions, file maintenance, regular call reports, periodic appraisals.
·         Provide management information on Corporate & SME portfolio on status of accounts, excesses, irregular securities, defaulting accounts and exceptions on a regular basis, as and when required.
The ideal candidates should possess:
·         A business related degree from a reputable institution, Masters’ degree is an added advantage.
·         Professional qualifications- AKIB/ CPA/ACCA.
·         At least 10 years banking experience- 3 of which should be at Senior Relationship Manager Level.
·         Conversant with Microsoft Office packages.
·         Strong credit underwriting skills.
·         Strong appreciation of banking operations, corporate, treasury, retail and transaction banking.
The ideal candidate must possess the following:-
·         Ability to work independently under strict deadlines.
