Accountant

Location: Nairobi
Salary: 100K
Nature of Job: Full time

Duties and Responsibilities

·         Report directly to the Financial controller

·         Be a point of contact for all accounting related issues from various departments
·         Ensure daily accounting tasks are performed and reports distributed in time
·         Ensure casuals are paid in time
·         Knowledge and experience in financial software, managing processes, Audit accounting, payroll, balance sheet reconciliation, tracking budget expenses, analyzing information and financial skills
·         Understands and has the working knowledge of all accounting areas

·         Ensuring internal controls are in place
·         Assist in forecasting the budget, month-end closing and balance sheet reconciliations
·         Banking & bank reconciliations
·         Maintaining financial records which accurately record the business’ incoming and outgoing finances

Requirements

·         CPA -K
·         Bachelor’s degree in a Business related field especially accounting
·         3-5years’ experience as an Accountant in a busy construction company
·         Must have sound financial and accounting technical knowledge
·         Ability to organize, prioritize and pay attention to details
·         Good communication and interpersonal skills both internally and externally
·         Ability to manage multiple projects
·         Ability to work with accounting software
