Duties and Responsibilities
Procurement and Administration
·
Manning the front desk and attending
to visitors
·
Processing purchase requisitions for
supplies and ensuring these are processed
·
Ordering, receiving and issuing of
supplies
·
Issuing of outbound cheques to
suppliers
·
Ensuring routine payments are made
such as electricity bills, internet bills, rent bills, contract based payments
·
Keeping track of when routine
payments are due
Finance and Accounting
·
Preparation of Payment Vouchers and
Cheque Payments
·
Preparation of Petty Cash Vouchers
and Petty Cash Payments
·
Posting of all transactions into Sage
·
Monthly Bank Reconciliations
·
Monthly Financial Statements
·
Submission of VAT Returns
·
Preparation and Submission of EPZ
returns
·
Preparation of corporation tax
returns
·
Generation of the certificate of tax
compliance
·
Annual audit preparation and support
·
Preparation of financial projections
for financiers and supporting the financing process
·
Financial advisory services to
management
Human Resource Administration
·
Monthly submission of PAYE P10 and
PAYE payment
·
Issuance of P9A Forms to staff
·
HR manual preparation
·
Update of HR Manual
·
Staff contract preparation
·
Staff and Directors Training in HR
Management
·
Staff absence and leave management
·
Monitoring compliance with OSHA and advising
management on the requirements of the Act
·
HR advisory services to management
·
Any other relevant responsibilities
as assigned by management
Education and Qualifications
·
Minimum B.Com or BA degree in
Finance, accounting, management or related field or Certified Public Accountant
(K)
Skills and Experience
·
Minimum of 2 years relevant working
experience working with a Small or Medium Enterprise
·
Knowledge and experience with
accounting software (Sage, QuickBooks, SUN etc)
·
Working knowledge of MS Word and
Excel computer programs
·
Advance interpersonal communication
skills, relationship building and organization skills;
·
Able to read and interpret financial
information, strong communication skills;
·
A person of proven integrity
·
Demonstrate the ability to work constructively
in a team;
·
Ability to negotiate solutions to
problems.
Language Skills
·
Excellent command of English language
including written and spoken English.
·
Effective use of written and spoken
