General Description: The Finance
Administrator will be responsible for corporate accounting, regulatory and
financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as implementing
the financial policies of the company.

Manage
all accounting operations including Billing, Cost Accounting, Inventory
Accounting and Revenue Recognition.
·
Coordinate
and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report
variances.
·
Prepare
and present to the Finance Committee timely monthly financial statements.
·
Coordinate
the preparation of regulatory reporting.
·
Research
technical accounting issues for compliance.
·
Support
month-end and year-end close process.
·
Ensure
quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
Qualifications, Skills And Attributes
·
A
bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or business administration from a
recognized university
·
Masters
in any relevant field will be an added advantage.
·
Professional
qualifications – CPA/ACCA finalist and a Member of Institute of Certified
Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK) or equivalent
·
A
minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in finance
·
Thorough
understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
·
Proven
experience in service industry
·
Experience
working in a fast growing environment
·
Ability
to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and
projections
·
Excellent
team leadership skills, communication, organization and presentation skills
·
Fully
compliant with Diocesan policies and with safe environment/child protection

Key
Duties and Responsibilities

To head the Procurement department.
·
To Evaluate and enhance our
operations in spend while also researching developments in spend
·
Define policies and create scalable
purchasing processes.
·
Develop and manage relationships with
vendors to consistently deliver value and meet customer’s requirements.
·
Collaborate with business owners,
finance and legal team to review contracts for goods and services to ensure
optimal pricing and business terms and consistency with approved Purchase
Orders.
·
Review purchase requests for
completeness, appropriate support, approvals, and business coding, reviewing
terms of associated contracts and partnering with legal and finance.
·
Perform cost analysis and set
appropriate benchmarks.
·
Provide guidance and training for the
team.
·
Travel Expectation: As required for
business needs.
·
Any other duties as may be assigned
by supervisor.

Qualifications
·
Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 6
years of experience in Procurement, Sourcing, or any other related field.

Strong track record of having

General
Description: The position holder Coordinates and
manages the effective implementation of a portfolio of development and
humanitarian project activities in Turkana, Kenya.
The
position is responsible for ensuring that implementing partner organizations
effectively plan, budget for, deliver and report on project activities to
achieve agreed outputs and outcomes in CJPC using a results-based
management approach, applying value-for-money principles

To co-ordinate the Diocesan desk for
the Commission, spearhead the conceptualization, formulation and implementation
of initiatives for expressing identity, philosophy and Catholic Diocese of
Lodwar's Mission through the Commission’s goals within the established
policies.
·
Develop work-plans & budgets in
line with the Commission’s projects & activities.
·
In liaison with the resource
mobilization manager, develop proposals to seek funds for approved activities
of the Commission, and prepare project reports in line with the partner’s
requirements.
·
Develop initiatives to facilitate
Catholic Diocese of Lodwar's policy advocacy and influence of both local
and National thinking on pressing issues in the Commission’s focal areas.
·
Facilitate training workshops and
coordinate field activities targeting the needs of the community in line with
the Commission’s focal areas.
·
Develop and maintain a strong &
functional network of community animators, national CJPC offices and other
stakeholders.
·
Organize and implement the Lenten
Campaign initiative in the Diocese.
·
Facilitate optimum staff performance
for consistent and satisfactory organizational out-put in the Commission
through effective supervision, objective staff appraisal, ongoing staff
development & promotion of team spirit.
·
Developing appropriate initiatives of
enhancing capacity building of key Parish and Diocesan staff in the service
area.
·
To represent the diocese internally
and externally in relevant forums with the aim to reflect the wider
Caritas Lodwar into the region, acting as a link and facilitator between
diocesan programmes in the county.
·
To set the leadership and team
identity framework for Caritas Lodwar Justice & Peace a team in
accordance with diocesan Management Standards.
·
Any other duties that may be assigned
by the management.
Qualifications,
Attributes and Other Requirements Specific to the Role
·
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant
subject e.g: development studies, law, public administration, human rights,
natural resource management. Master’s degree preferred.
·
Diploma in Law will be an added asset
·
At least 3 years professional
experience in managing complex development projects in Kenya, ideally in
Turkana
·
Knowledge and understanding of: land
and natural resource rights in Kenya, including oil and gas;
humanitarian/development programme management; resilient livelihoods
development
·
Demonstrated knowledge and
understanding of the Turkana context and demonstrated experience of managing
development projects/programmes in Turkana strongly preferred;
·
Demonstrated understanding and
experience of managing large budgets, using management systems, budget
monitoring and financial reporting;
·
Strong Management skills with
experience in programme formulation and monitoring and evaluation techniques
·
Strong community mobilization,
facilitation and mediation skills with a conviction for justice and human
rights
·
Self motivated Christian ready to work
extra hours when necessary.
·
Knowledge of spoken Turkana would be
highly desirable
