Project Doctor/Medical Officer
The University of Nairobi, through the COEHM and CRISS plus Projects has received funding from the US Centres for Disease Control and Prevention to support the implementation of high quality, sustainable and comprehensive HIV prevention, care and treatment in Nairobi and parts of central Kenya. To meet program goals, the Project seeks to fill the following position;

Qualifications

·         The applicants should be holders of a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree from recognized institutions.
·         At least 2 years’ experience on clinical HIV management or HIV prevention, care and treatment programming in the public sector or a large private sector selling.

Responsibilities 

·         Successful candidates will be responsible for direct service delivery, mentorship, capacity building in a large multidisciplinary clinical setting.
All the positions are full-time and on a one year contract renewable on satisfactory performance and by mutual consent.

Clinical Coordinator
The University of Nairobi, through the COEHM and CRISS plus Projects has received funding from the US Centres for Disease Control and Prevention to support the implementation of high quality, sustainable and comprehensive HIV prevention, care and treatment in Nairobi and parts of central Kenya. To meet program goals, the Project seeks to fill the following position;

Qualifications

·         Applicants must have a minimum MBChB with a Master’s Degree in Public Health
·         3 years’ experience in HIV programming/HIV related research.
·         Applicants will be expected to have strong written, oral, facilitation, networking and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

·         The holder of this position will coordinate the implementation of the UoN component of a faith-based health network HIV prevention,
·         Care and treatment program implemented in 8 counties.
·         S/he will plan, direct and coordinate all activities to ensure achievement of the project objectives as well as quality standards.

HIV Prevention & Gender Program Officer
The University of Nairobi, through the COEHM and CRISS plus Projects has received funding from the US Centres for Disease Control and Prevention to support the implementation of high quality, sustainable and comprehensive HIV prevention, care and treatment in Nairobi and parts of central Kenya. To meet program goals, the Project seeks to fill the following position;

Qualifications

·         The successful candidate will be in possession of a BSN degree or master’s degree in medical sociology/medical anthropology or gender studies from a recognized institution;
·         At least 3 years progressive experience in HIV prevention.

Responsibilities

·         The holder of this position will be required to coordinate prevention and gender mainstreaming activities including systematic age and gender analysis, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting.
·         They will also promote implementation of targeted actions aimed at achieving gender outcomes.

Health Records & Information Officer/Strategic Information Associate

To meet program goals, the Project seeks to fill the following position;

Qualifications

·         Applicants must have a minimum of C-plus at KCSE
·         should be in possession of a Diploma in Medical Records and Information Management or bachelor’s degree in information science/technology from a recognized institution;
·         At least 2 years work experience in health records and information management in a healthcare environment.
·         They should be proficient in MS suite including spreadsheets and databases.
·         Those with training and knowledge of SPSS, Epi Info, Stata or similar software will have a distinct advantage.

Responsibilities

·         The successful candidate will develop and maintain health records infrastructure for routine patient management, quality improvement and reporting.

Clinical Officers

To meet program goals, the Project seeks to fill the following position;

Qualifications

·         Applicants must be in possession of a minimum of a diploma in clinical medicine with training, knowledge and skills in Pediatric/Adult ART management and/or counselling

·         2 years working experience in HIV care & treatment.
·         They must be registered with the COC
·         Have excellent verbal and written communications skills
·         Computer literate

Laboratory Assistants
The University of Nairobi, through the COEHM and CRISS plus Projects has received funding from the US Centres for Disease Control and Prevention to support the implementation of high quality, sustainable and comprehensive HIV prevention, care and treatment in Nairobi and parts of central Kenya. To meet program goals, the Project seeks to fill the following position;

Qualifications

·         Applicants should be in possession of a bachelor’s degree in medical laboratory technology/science/biochemistry
·         A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a busy clinical laboratory
·         Be computer literate.
·         Those with a Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology and 2 years’ experience in a busy clinical laboratory will also be considered.
·         Those with additional certification in GCLP and/or laboratory quality management systems/mycobacteriology/molecular diagnosis will have a distinct advantage.

Accountant
The University of Nairobi, through the COEHM and CRISS plus Projects has received funding from the US Centres for Disease Control and Prevention to support the implementation of high quality, sustainable and comprehensive HIV prevention, care and treatment in Nairobi and parts of central Kenya. To meet program goals, the Project seeks to fill the following position;

Qualifications

·         Applicants must be qualified accountants with at least CPA-K and a bachelor’s degree in accounting, management, economics or finance.
·         They must also have 5 years’ experience working in either donor funded projects or a large NGO or public sector.
·         Candidates are required to have information technology skills and be proficient in computerized accounting.
·         Knowledge of donor agency grant rules and regulations will be a distinct advantage.
·         This position will require the ability to supervise, excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
·         The candidate should have high level of integrity and ability to work with multi-disciplinary teams.

Driver
Location: Nairobi/Kiambu

To meet program goals, the Project seeks to fill the following position;

Qualifications

·         Applicants should be holders of at least a KCSE certificate or an equivalent qualification.
·         S/he must be in possession of Class B, C and E Driving Licence, PSV anda current certificate of good conduct and less than 5 years continuous driving experience.
·         S/he must have good communication skills in English and Kiswahili, both oral and written and have good interpersonal skills.
·         Knowledge of motor vehicle mechanics will be an added advantage.
