Senior Human Resource Management Officer

Requirements

·         Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences from a recognized institution
·         Must be a member of Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM);
·         Must have at least two (2) years’ experience in Human Resource Management;
·         Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results

Responsibilities

·         Handling all Human Resource Management matters within established polices, rules and regulations and supervision and guidance of staff working under him/her.

Hospitality Officer

Requirements

·         Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines:- Public Administration; Business Administration / Management, Community Development or any other Social Science;
·         Must have at least two (2) years’ experience in the relevant field.
·         Certificate in computer applications from a recognized institution; and
·         Demonstrated merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.

Responsibilities

·         Organize and coordinate event to ensure maximum efficiency;
·         Supervise and evaluate support staffs;
·         Ensure supplies and equipment are adequate in quality and quality;
·         Handle customer complaints when necessary;
·         Assume responsibility of budgeting and monitoring in hospitality related expenses;
·         Enforce adherence to regulations and quality standards;
·         Ensure all records are kept properly and consistently;
·         Review and prepare reports for senior management;
·         Ensuring excellent service delivery to public and stakeholders experience.

Administrator

Requirements

·         Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: – Public Administration; Business Administration / Management, Community Development or any other Social Science from a recognized institution;
·         Certificate in computer applications from a recognized institution; and
·         Demonstrated merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.

Responsibilities

·         Assisting in planning office accommodation;
·         Coordinating meeting, conferences and other events;
·         Supervising general maintenance of building and furniture;
·         Facilitating maintenance and repairs of office equipment;
·         Processing administrative documents;
·         Supervising provision of security and office services;
·         Supervising records management and messenger services within various departments;
·         Handling public concern and issues;
·         Facilitating citizen participating in development activities;
·         Providing input in organizing public participation awareness at the local level;
·         Collecting and collating data on development activities.
·         Inspecting unsafe buildings and recommending options for repairs or demolition;

·         Making sure that projects meet legal guidelines, environmental directives and health and safety requirements;
·         Supervising project teams;
·         Giving progress reports to clients and senior managers.

Senior Structural Engineer

Requirement

·         Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
·         Must have at least three (3) years’ experience in Structural Engineering;
·         Registration by Engineers Registration Board of Kenya;
·         Certificate in Computer applications from a recognized institution; and
·         Demonstrated merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.

Responsibilities

·         Working closely on construction plans with user Department, Architects and other professionals;
·         Developing design ideas using modern software;
·         Investigating the properties of materials like glass, steel and concrete, and advising which is most suitable;
·         Working out the loads and stresses on different parts of a structure;
·         Using computer simulations to predict how structures will react under different conditions;

Quantity Surveyor

Requirements

·         A Bachelor of Arts degree in building economics/ quantity surveying. Must have at least three (3) years’ experience in the relevant field;
·         Must be a registered member of the Institute of Quantity Surveyors of Kenya (IQSK) or Architectural Association of Kenya (AAK);
·         Certificate in Computer applications from a recognized institution; and
·         Demonstrated merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.

Responsibilities

·         Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities with the architect and / or the client;
·         Undertake cost analysis for repair and maintenance project work:
·         Assist in establishing a client’s requirements and undertake feasibility studies;
·         Perform risk, value management and cost control;
·         Identify, analyse and develop responses to commercial risks;
·         Prepare and analyse costing for tender;
·         Allocate work to subcontractors;
·         Provide advice on contractual claims;
·         Analyse outcomes and write detailed progress reports:
·         Value completed work and arrange payments;
·         Maintain awareness of the different building contracts in current use;
·         Understand the implications of health and safety regulations.

Senior Records Management Officer

Requirements

·         Bachelors in Information Science / Records Management or any of the Social Sciences from a recognized institution;
·         Must have at least three (3) years experience in records management;
·         Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.

Responsibilities

·         Documents are carefully handled;
·         Pending correspondence and brings — ups are checked and appropriate action taken;
·         Mails are received, sorted, opened and dispatched and related registers are maintained;
·         The officer will initiate appraisal and disposal of files/ documents in liaison with National Archives and Documentation Service;
·         Ensure security of information, documents, files and office equipment’s; and
·         Supervise, guide and develop staff working under him/her.
