Job Purpose: The job
holders will be responsible for identifying business opportunities, marketing
services and products offered within the workshop, coordinating resources and
liaising with stakeholders to ensure an efficient, profitable and competitive
production and maintenance department.
Job Responsibilities

Identify
business opportunities related to the workshop and maximize profitability.
·
Lead
and inspire production team.
·
Improve
quality, efficiency and productivity of the department.
·
Control
resources at hand commensurate with profit requirements and enhanced customer
relations.

Coordinate
resources, schedules and activities to manage jobs.
·
Provide
feedback to staffs who are not performing to expected standards and ensure all
staff are informed of their trends of performance.

Receive
and review feedback from clients and follow up on customer satisfaction.
·
Develop
and implement systems to record, file and store information.
·
Write
reports and documentation.
·
Maintain
an updated inventory of all equipment and tools
·
Provide
oversight and check job estimates.
·
Ensure
preventive maintenance schedules maintenance units.

safe working practices of staff to comply with legal requirement of Health and
safety.

Purpose: The job holders will be responsible
for the maintenance of medical equipment, orientation, training of end users
with the aim of improving quality and effectiveness of patient care.
Job
Responsibilities
·
Install, adjust, maintain, repair or
provide technical support for biomedical equipment.
·
Develop and implement planned
preventive maintenance schedules to minimize machine interruptions.
·
Evaluate the safety, efficiency and
effectiveness of biomedical equipment.
·
Train clinicians and other personnel
on proper use of equipment.
·
Work closely with the medical team as
well as end users.
·
Keep up to date with the developments
in the field.
·
Deal with technical queries and
advise on new and current equipment.
·
Write reports and documentations.
·
Advice on purchase of spare parts for
repairs and new equipment for installation.
·

Requirements

Diploma in Medical Engineering
·
Registered by Association of Medical
Engineering of Kenya (AMEK).

2 years working experience in medical
equipment maintenance in a busy medical institution.

Position: Pharmaceutical Technologist

Job
Purpose: The job holder will provide
services associated with preparation, storage and dispensing of
pharmaceuticals.
Job Responsibilities

Dispensing of drugs to patients.
·
Compute charges for medications
dispensed and enter data.
·
Receive and store incoming supplies,
verify quantities against invoices and inform supervisors of stock needs and
shortage.
·
Establish and maintain patients’
profiles, list of medication etc.
·
Maintain proper storage and security
for drugs.
·
Answer calls, respond to questions
and requests.
·
Pre and post pharmacy counseling.
·
Responsible for timely monthly
reports.
·
Maintain pharmacy inventory by
checking pharmaceutical stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed
medication and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt;
removing outdated drugs.
·
Maintain a safe and clean pharmacy by
complying with procedures, rules and regulations
·
Protect patients and employees by
adhering to infection control policies and protocol
·
Organize medications for dispense by
reading medication orders and prescription preparing labels; calculating
quantities, assembling intravenous solutions and other pharmaceutical
therapies.

A Degree/ Diploma in Pharmacy
Technology from a recognized institution.

At least two years in a busy
Pharmacy.

Excellent knowledge of Pharmacy
operations and procedures.

Must be duly registered by Pharmacy
and Poisons Board.

Very adept at handling drugs.
·
Highly disciplined.

Must be able to perform under pressure.

Position: Laboratory Technologist

Duty

Job
purpose: The purpose of this position is to
coordinate and control the activities of the laboratory in the hospital.
