Resource Mobilization Internship
Rural Agency for Community
Development and Assistance (RACIDA), is seeking a Resource Mobilization intern
to provide support to the team’s overall resource mobilization efforts.
RACIDA is a non-governmental
organization founded on the need to address poverty and public distress in
Kenya, with specific reference to pastoralist communities in the Arid and
Semi-Arid Lands (ASALs) in the Horn of Africa.
Location: Nairobi
Duration: 3 Months
Responsibilities
·
Resource mapping (50%) The intern
will support the team in preparing a resource mobilization plan for RACIDA
programming, capturing initiatives and actors operating across the globe with a
set of recommendations for mobilizing resources;
·
Supports the team to analyze and
develop visual representation of RACIDA’s program impacts in preparation for
meeting partners;
·
Research donor policies and
priorities of countries and their international commitments to RACIDA’s areas of
programming;
·
Review and update data on earmarked
contributions by key donors to RACIDA programming, to ensure consistency and
accuracy of records;
·
Assist logistical and operational
support and provide other assistance as identified during the internship period.
Qualifications
·
Applicants should be currently
enrolled in Bachelors, or Masters program, or are a recent graduate;
·
Background in international
relations, development studies, business/management, or other related
discipline;
·
Excellent research and analytical
skills (including the ability to succinctly summarize research findings in
written briefs);
·
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Outlook);
·
Excellent communication skills;
·
Proven ability to be creative and
detail-oriented;
·
Excellent writing and editing skills;
·
Self-motivated and energetic;
·
Extremely organized.
