Position Title:Business Development Manager – Agribusiness

Reporting to: Head of Agribusiness

Position scope: The jobholder will be responsible for growing market share in the Agribusiness segment through identification of sales leads to new clients and maintaining good working relationships to achieve profitable growth of the Agribusiness segment.
 
Key Responsibilities
·                     Support the delivery of business development and advisory services to client businesses in the Agribusiness portfolio, and develop interventions that address specific needs of client businesses and position them for growth.
·                     Build strong relationships with existing client base by being proactive and understanding the customer needs
·                     Grow and maintain the Agribusiness portfolio quality within acceptable credit risk exposure as per international standards i.e. below 8%.
·                     Initiate and participate in Agribusiness trade fairs, farmers training days,farmers field days among others to position the bank as an agribusiness solution provider
·                     Identify and acquire profitable new customers for the Agribusiness segment through the creation, development and maintenance of high quality advisory relationships
·                     Meet annual agreed targets in terms of assets introduced and revenue generated, while maintaining a high quality level of service to the intermediaries in the region
·                     Manage revenue leakage by ensuring that client issues are managed effectively and in a timely manner to ensure client satisfaction and that opportunities to sell other services are noted and acted upon
·                     Hold regular meetings and liaise with business clients to continuously monitor and support business performance.
·                     Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reports on the performance of each business
·                     Develop and implement appropriate marketing strategies to extract further business from client relationships within Agribusiness segment and support a sales culture within the segment.
·                     Seek opportunities to cross sell non-banking services, as an ongoing feature of business development activity.
·                     Monitor, understand and highlight competitor activity and customer trends that affect Agribusiness banking , and develop effective strategies to counter threats
·                     Identify and tap opportunities for new products/services by developing, rolling out new Agribusiness banking brands/services based on quantified customer needs, market or industry trends and risks
·                     Develop, implement and deliver Agribusiness strategy, annual plans across business to build an asset portfolio and liabilities as per agreed Agribusiness targets.
Skills & Experience
·                     University degree in Agriculture management or a business related field
·                     Master’s degree in business related field
·                     At least eight (8)years’ working experience, three(three) of which should be in Banking Operations, five (5) years in Agribusiness and at least one year in relationship management /sales ,preferably in Agribusiness sector
·                     Proficient in computer applications
·                     Superior presentation and communication skills
·                     Customer oriented

Job Title: Regional Branch Business Manager - Coast Region

Position Scope: The successful candidate will be responsible for championing the transformation of branches and providing strategic regional branch leadership, deliver exceptional business growth through optimization of existing branch business channels and development of new business opportunities for all bank products and services.
 
Key Responsibilities
·                     Formulate strategies and business plans for the region that will drive regional and branch performance, sales growth, and customer satisfaction through visible leadership, performance management, key partnerships, prioritization, planning, and problem resolution.
·                     Primary responsibility for the promotion of the bank in the region to; existing and prospective clients, professionals and businesses by way of; networking activities, call programs, marketing and promotional campaigns, sponsorship initiatives, community involvement and sales and product seminars.
·                     Overall management of the regional branch network to ensure superior service offering to all banks customers, reduction of operating costs, efficient utilization of Bank’s resources, reduction of fraud and losses, adherence to the Bank policies, procedures, core values and corporate governance tenets.
·                     Ensure customer Queries, Requests or Complaints are handled within the defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Turn Around Time.Develop initiatives aimed at cost minimization within the branches and that are geared towards increasing customer convenience and service standards.
·                     Forecast, plan, implement and monitor all regional sales, cost and expenditure activities within set budget and proactively and promptly device remedial actions to minimize the variances between the budget and actual performance.
·                     Ensure credit risk management for different branch portfolios is maintained and NPA book is maintained at acceptable levels
·                     Review and channel financial performance reviews and branch business performance analysis reports to the respective business heads.
·                     Ensure new revenue generation through opening up the markets for business opportunities for all the Bank products and services.
·                     Take leadership in driving new product introductions and commercialization to the region
·                     Responsible for identification, effective set up and commercialization of new branch channels.
·                     Coach and mentor the team while adopting best practices in people and performance management in line with laid down HR policies, with the aim of developing a high performing team.
·                     Attract, develop and retains talent.
·                     Promote and ensure a positive work environment for employees within the region.
·                     Establish a management and communications structure with respective branches in the region to manage transformation, operational actions and execute all branch business deliverables.

·                     Responsible for regional compliance with bank policies, procedures, and operational integrity.
·                     Manage bank visibility/recognition in the communities within the region.
Qualifications, Experience,Skills & Personal Attributes:
·                     Bachelor’s degree in a business related field.
·                     Diploma /Certification in Banking.
·                     Master degree in a business field will be desirable.
·                     Ten (10) years’ experience in Retail/Consumer Banking, five (5) years of which should be in a similar position or at senior management position preferably in branch management, sales /business growth environment.
·                     Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, motivate and develop staff.
·                     Multiple branch management experience.
·                     Sound knowledge of Banking laws and regulations.
·                     Proficient in computer applications.
·                     Strategic thinker with good commercial acumen and ability to identify economic opportunities in changing environment and capitalize on them.
·                     Conversant with current trends in consumer banking with a strong commercial orientation.
·                     Customer focused - striking a solid balance between external and internal customer orientation.
·                     Excellent leadership, interpersonal and team management skills.
·                     Project Management skills.
·                     Excellent oral, written and presentation skills.
·                     Excellent analytical & report writing skills.

Position Title: -Manager, ICT Risk

Position scope: The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting risk identification and management process across all aspects of Information Technology for the Bank, updating the executive management on the results of the risk assessment and making recommendations for mitigations to protect the Bank systems or cover potential financial losses.

Key Responsibilities:
·                     Develop and implement an ICT Risk Management Framework
·                     Conduct system vulnerability tests in line with Bank policies and global standards and report to management on vulnerability and protection against malware and hackers
·                     Identify and assess risks, design mitigation controls and monitor the risks till closure
·                     Clearly document and define risks and their potential impact alongside the statistical probability of such an event, and identify systems affected by the defined risk
·                     Develop ICT risk management guidelines to be used by all Divisions of the Bank
·                     Conduct system penetration testing for various stages of the system development lifecycle to ensure integrity, availability and assurance of the systems and technical processes
·                     Perform a review on compliance with ICT security policies across the technology ecosystem
·                     Evaluate security policy, processes and procedures for completeness and assess its applicability
·                     Work closely with business by identifying risks in products that use digital platforms
·                     Conduct fraud assessments on technology platforms as per fraud risk management policy
·                     Keep abreast with current advances in all areas of ICT security
·                     Continuously evaluate communication security, data vulnerability, business continuity; and examine employee compliance with security controls and deficiencies
Skills & Experience
·                     Bachelor's Degree in Computer related field
·                     3-5 years of related experience with an emphasis on ICT Risk
·                     Masters’ degree would be added advantage
·                     Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC) or equivalent preferred;
·                     Ability to conduct data mining, data analysis and reporting
·                     An intermediate understanding of networking concepts
·                     Intermediate understanding of security appliances including but not limited to Intrusion Detection System (IDS), Intrusion Prevention System (IPS), Firewall, and Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems;
·                     Analytical, objective and ability to describe complex technical concepts and ideas in non-technical terms.
·                     Good communication & interpersonal skills

Position Title: Payroll Accountant

Position scope: The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of payroll reports, responding to inquiries and/or requests for data and ensuring timely and accurate payroll production.

Key responsibilities
·                     Process payments to staff promptly and accurately in line with set timelines and standards
·                     Remittance of statutory and other deductions in compliance to regulations and ensure NIL penalties
·                     Updating of NSSF statements effectively and dealing with arising queries appropriately
·                     Responsible for testing system and tax upgrades in line with payroll & internal policies
·                     Assist in developing reporting processes, procedures, and internal controls for the purpose of maintaining an efficient flow of payroll processes.
·                     Compile statistical and payroll data from a variety of sources e.g. payroll, salary adjustments, union dues, benefits, leave balances, tax deposits, etc. for the purpose of ensuring compliance to established guidelines.
·                     Identify discrepancies of payroll information and/or documentation for the purpose of ensuring accuracy and adherence to procedures prior to processing.
·                     Effectively resolve discrepancies with payroll, benefit information and/or documentation to ensure accuracy of records and employee payments.
·                     Respond to inquiries regarding payroll procedures and provide necessary information required for making decisions
·                     Analyze and reconcile all payroll reports.
Skills & Experience:
·                     A University degree in a business related field
·                     Professional HR qualification will be an added advantage
·                     2 -3 years experience in a busy HR environment
·                     Proficient in Computer applications
·                     Good working experience with ERP system - Oracle
·                     CPA qualification will be an added advantage
·                     Good understanding of CBA & Labour Laws
