Job Vacancies: The Adolescent Transition to Adult Care for HIV-infected adolescents in Kenya (ATTACH) study focuses on understanding transition practices in HIV clinics in Kenya, adapting a transition tool to provide a framework for guiding transition process, and testing an adolescent transition package consisting of an adapted transition tool and validated disclosure booklet. 

The study will involve working with HIV clinics throughout Kenya to conduct facility surveys to understand current transition practices and data abstraction from existing EMR systems.
 


The ATTACH study is seeking to hire staff for a period of 6 months in the following positions:

Data Clerk

4 Positions
 
Location: Different locations across the Country
 
The data clerks will be primarily responsible for data abstraction from EMR data systems. 

They will also be responsible for updating the EMR system as needed. Data clerk will report directly to the study data manager.
 
Job Requirements
·                     A data clerk with degree or diploma in a statistics, health records or related field.
·                     Knowledge of health information system use in HIV/AIDs care.
·                     Experience in data abstraction from a EMR(IQ care system, Openmrs and KenyaEMR) systems in use in Kenya.
·                     Experience in conducting routine data quality assessments.
·                     Good communication skills and report writing skills.

·                     Experience in working with Ministry of Health/County government personnel will be an added advantage
·                     Strong leadership skills and ability to build relationships, work well as part of a team and facilitate the achievement of results.
·                     Willingness to travel across the country on a need basis.
Study Nurse

2 Positions
 
Location: Nairobi and Western Kenya
 
The study nurse will be responsible for obtaining necessary approvals at the sub-county, MOH and facility level, collecting facility survey data, supporting data entry and abstraction as needed. 

The study nurse will report to the study regional coordinator.
 
Job Requirements
·                     Diploma nurse registered with the Nursing council of Kenya.
·                     Experience with data entry or EMR systems.
·                     Experience in routine data quality assessments.
·                     Knowledge in HIV/AIDs.
·                     Experience in working with Ministry of Health personnel will be an added advantage
·                     Strong leadership skills and ability to build relationships, work well as part of a team and facilitate the achievement of results.
