Position: Regional Sales Manager

Role Purpose:  Effective management of all existing mass market sales force within the Area: Direct Sales, Indirect Sales, learning Manager & trade marketing team. Maximize results and profitability of the the indirect channel (channel partners). 

Meet the regional sales targets & management of P & L of the region & monthly ROI for the channel partners.  

Also ensure wide spread distribution and availability of products (SIM, airtime, devices) in the local market, via effective channel management partnerships.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Cascade the business strategy, implement and supervise distribution initiatives in the sales region primarily availability & visibilty of Telkom products
  • To achieve the sales targets of the sales region through effective route to market & numeric growth
  • To ensure that the customer expectations regarding the standard of services and product knowledge are met, both in its own stores (retail) and in partners stores (indirect sales) in order to increase customer base and to secure Telkom revenues
  • To maximize the level of sales in the area through permanent operational support offered to direct, indirect & support teams and encouraging initiatives in order to take advantage of the market opportunities
  • To explore together with indirect & support teams the achievement of the area, the results of questionnaires sent to customers, churn reports, complaints and to develop action plans for improvement.
  • To monitor the activities of competition and to prepare together with indirect & support teams action plans
  • To ensure interface with other departments and to build relations with them regarding the activity of indirect sales: Financial Department, Logistics sub-department, etc.
  • Manages & drives the sales force team to achieve the business objectives through team development, coaching, training
Position: Head of Trade Marketing
 
Region: Nairobi
 
Reporting to: Chief Sales Officer
 
Band: 4.2

Department: Mobile Sales 
Role Purpose: The Head of Trade Marketing and Acquisition will create, drive and manage all promotional activity within the distribution & sales channel. 

They will also pro-actively drive the brand and ground level animations.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Strategically implement and supervise trade marketing initiatives in all the regions
  • Grow and retain acquisitions within the  regions as well as managing quality of the acquisition
  • Budget ownership for all trade marketing activities
  • Create all merchandise and in-store collateral
  • Create, build and manage mass market/trade marketing animations and road shows
  • Pro-actively seek to maximize SIM, devices and electronic airtime, profile and take-up.
  • Creation of brand strategy and positioning
  • Enforce processes and procedures for customer sign-up
  • Work hand in hand with the Regional Sales team and giving them appropriate business advice and support
Position: HSE Officer
 
Region: Nairobi
 
Reporting to: HSE Manager
 
Band: 3
 
Department: Administration & Compliance / HSE 
Role Purpose: Responsible for minimizing risks and hazards in the workplace, prevent accidents & incidents as well as injuries to workers, improve preparedness to emergencies & disaster management & compliance to national legislation.
 
Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Induction of visitors, employees and contractors on HSE procedures and policies.
  • Coordinate and participate in the investigation of incidents; review and analyse them, proposing corrective action and sharing reports.
  • Help to coordinate occupational health and safety related surveys e.g. noise, lighting, exposure to chemical substances and follow up associated recommendations.
  • Investigate the root cause of HSE complaints put forward by staff members, customers, clients and contractors and report the result to the HSE manager.
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with Kenyan Environmental, Health and Safety Laws and requirements and Telkom Kenya’s HSE policy and procedures
  • Carry out workplace audits, check compliance of work being performed with safe systems of work and follow-up on corrective actions
  • Assist with the implementation of Job Safety Analysis and inspect job site activities during particularly risky or hazardous work situations;
  • Ensure regular emergency response exercises and drills are conducted to ensure the highest level of preparedness in any emergency. Maintain records of such drills, providing recommendations for emergency response improvements;
  • Coordinate meetings of safety champions, fire marshals and first aiders and follow up on recommendations made in the meetings.
