Machine Operator
Position scope
Reporting to the Foreman Fabrications, the successful candidate will be responsible for effective machining works, machine/plant operation at the workshop;

Responsibilities

·         Operating machines as per standard procedure;
·         Monitoring machine conditions and escalating any repair issues;
·         Monitoring and maintaining safe and clean working conditions;
·         Taking part in safety drills and other regulatory procedures;
·         Interpreting of production drawings;
·         Carrying out machining work including turning, milling, gear cutting and shaping;
·         Finishing operations on products e.g. threading, tapping and deburring;
·         Maintaining cleanliness and order in the working environment;
·         Performing any other duties as may be assigned from time to time

Qualifications

·         Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (Production) /Plant/Craft Technician III;
·         A minimum of Two ( 2) years relevant working experience;
·         Certificate of good conduct;
·         Punctual, diligent and meticulous with close attention to detail;
·         Must demonstrate high integrity and ethical practice;
·         Must demonstrate ability to execute work assigned with minimum supervision;
·         Must be a team player who is able to work cordially in teams;
·         Must demonstrate ability to multitask;
·         Should have ability to solve problems by applying relevant knowledge;
·         Must have the ability to communicate for both written and oral communication;
·         Must be able to work under pressure;
·         Must be a flexible person, who is willing to learn and able to work flexible hours to achieve goals;
·         Must be able to deliver targets, and a good planner who pays attention to detail;
·         Must have knowledge in use of MS office packages.

Fitter/Welder
Position scope
Reporting to the Foreman Fabrications, the successful candidate will be responsible for effective fitting and welding at the workshop;

Responsibilities

·         Preparing parts to be welded by laying out, positioning, securing and assembling as per design specifications;
·         Tackwelding or welding components and assemblies, using electric, gas, arc or other welding equipment;
·         Cutting of work pieces using power saws, band saws, hand shears, Guillotine etc.;
·         Fabricating welding and assembly fixtures on a need basis;
·         Welding components in flat, vertical or overhead position;
·         Removing of rough spots, slugs using portable grinders, files or scrapers;
·         Carrying out high quality welds and fittings as per specifications;
·         Supervising casual welders who are hired for various production cycles.
·         Performing any other duties as may be assigned from time to time

Qualifications

·         Craft artisan grade III
·         Certified Welder
·         Three (3) years of experience
·         Ability to work with various welding equipment e.g. MIG, TIG, Spot welding
·         Knowledge of various welding rods solders and filler wires for different materials and applications.
·         Ability to interpret drawings and welding symbols.
·         Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
·         Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Electrical Technician
Position scope
Reporting to the Installations & Maintenance Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for installation of new/modified electrical systems for use in the workshop’s fabrication and installation works.

Responsibilities

·         Installing electrical systems, products, components, and applications by designing and conducting solutions by applying knowledge of electricity and materials.
·         Deploying electrical solutions by studying customer requirements, researching and testing manufacturing and assembly methods and materials.
·         Preparing product reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
·         Ensuring compliance with industry regulatory laws.
·         Keeping equipment operational by following manufacturer’s instructions and established procedures.
·         Fitting equipment and machinery electrical systems.
·         Installing of electrical component in conformance with engineering design and performance specifications.
·         Carrying out tests to ascertain proper running of machines and equipment.
·         Measuring performance of electrical systems.
·         Report writing and documentation
·         Performing any other duties as may be assigned from time to time

Qualifications

·         Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related field.
·         Five (5) Years of experience.
·         Ability to understand and document workflows and business processes.
·         Ability to identify solutions that effectively address business and control needs.
·         Interpersonal skills to effectively communicate audit results to functional heads and other stakeholders.
