Internship Opportunity 
 
FID, Kenya is a new Non-Profit Community Development Organization devoted to improving lives in transformative ways by advancing incorporated, locally driven solutions.

We implement gender-focused, poverty graduation programs that help women, men and the youth graduate from extreme poverty within a period of two years in Homa-Bay County.
 


We offer the following services;
  1. Training and mentorship on entrepreneurship.
  2. Linking beneficiaries with Financial Institutions.
  3. Offering support on financial resource mobilization.
  4. Marketing member products.
  5. Providing financial aid to youth groups.
  6. Offering ‘interest-free’ loans to women and Youth groups.
  7. Nurturing young talents.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Work with the Program teams to actualize planned activities.
  • Schedule events and conduct trainings.
  • Work with respective departments to develop a realistic timeline for program delivery.
  • Follow work plans, schedules and timelines to ensure timely completion of activities.
  • Document and record multiple program activities.
Qualifications: Applicants are required to express interest in the field of community development, Agriculture, Economics, Entrepreneurship, Rural development, Social work or Gender & Development.
 
Applicants should have at least a diploma in any of the above fields.
 
Ability to speak the local language will be an added advantage.
 
Remuneration: We give a monthly stipend of KES 34,600.
