About Us: Kesho
is an award winning, dynamic, medium sized and growing NGO currently
facilitating nearly 600 children to access schools and universities and also
supports more than 3,000 of their siblings, peers, parents and
teachers.
The Position: An
exciting opportunity has arisen within Kesho for an innovative, effective,
self-driven Executive Assistant to join our growing team and provide support to
the Executive Director.
The position is for an
initial contract period of 1 year and renewable subject to satisfactory
performance.
The position location is
Kesho Office, Kilifi.
Job Purpose: The role is responsible and accountable for the provision of efficient, effective and proactive support to the office of the Executive Director.
Main Responsibilities

Main Responsibilities
- Coordinate
management meetings, create and distribute pertinent documentation
including reports, minutes, agendas etc.
- Prepare and
modify documents including correspondence, reports, drafts and emails.
- Keeping the ED
abreast of upcoming issues, meetings and deadlines
- Provide timely
& accurate operational support on behalf of the Director to maintain
day to day efficiencies in the office.
- Maintain
records of updated formats for program performing reports.
- Organise
regular visit to the field. Document and facilitate proper follow up after
each visit.
- Oversee the
bookkeeping of finances related to the ED’s expenses.
- Work in
collaboration with the senior management team in monitoring grant
performance to ensure compliance with the terms, conditions and time lines
of awards
- Strategic
brainstorming on creative ideas for the organisation
- Daily update
meetings with the ED and occasionally with Board Chair
- Perform any
other task as requested by the ED or the Board Chair

- 2-5 years
working experience in a similar role
- Diploma or
degree in a related field
- Strong interpersonal
and communication (written, spoken and presentational) skills
- Ability to
establish and maintain effective working relations with people
- Proficiency in
writing proposal and reports in English.
- Ability to
Conduct in depth research
- Fully
proficient computer skills and ability to use relevant software
applications, in particular information databases, internet/intranet
services, library sources, etc.
- Great
leadership skill and a strategic thinker.
