Job Title: Medical Storekeeper / Data Processing Officer
Location: Coordination
Office, Nairobi
Length of contract: 12 months fixed term contract with
possibility of extension based on performance (Includes 3 month probationary
period)
The selected candidate will be reporting to the Deputy Supply Manager.
Main Tasks include, but not limited to:

Main Tasks include, but not limited to:
- Receive orders
and deliveries, identifying potential disparities against cargo manifest
and reporting them.
- Store
materials in accordance with the system in force, in order to ensure
continuous availability. This includes:
- Ensure correct
fill in entries on the stock cards and software
- Prepare orders
of the different consumption units (departments, wards, other), ensuring
the packaging and proper dispatching.
- Reporting any
anomalies or changes in consumption patterns to the line manager.
- Packing
(according to transport means), weigh and label freight (destination,
number of shipping units, way bill number, weight and mode of transport)
and assign a shipping number to each package, in accordance with the line
manager’s instructions
- Carry out or
participate in regular inventories including Emergency preparedness
response stock.
- Report missing
material/ damage/ robbery.
- Control
warehouse limited access to authorized personnel and ensure doors and
other exists are secured.
- Ensure that
all items are well organised and correctly stored, well protected, fully
identified and easily accessible.
- Control
warehouse facilities in order to ensure materials are in good keeping
conditions. This entails;
- Monitor
temperature in the warehouse and ensure that products requiring cold chain
are suitably stored and transports received and prepared appropriately
according to MSF Supply and Cold Chain protocols
- Ensure
cleanliness of premises (stock pharmacy).
- Maintain
refrigerating equipment in close collaboration with the logistics
department.
- Follows up
stock levels with regards to alarms thresholds, stock out, expiry dates
and drugs to expire in the following 6 months.
- Assist the
line manager with preparation of the stock report.
- Responsible
for monitoring the store temperature and ensure Cold Chain items are
stored in an adequate temperature
Requirements
Education: Desirable secondary education and warehouse management related studies.
Experience: Previous experience as storekeeper desirable.
Languages: Local language essential. Mission language desirable.
Knowledge
Education: Desirable secondary education and warehouse management related studies.
Experience: Previous experience as storekeeper desirable.
