Job Vacancy: HR Intern
Reports to: HR Administrator
The purpose of this
internship is
- For the
incumbent to be able to apply knowledge acquired in the classroom to real
world situations
- Gain the
skills and experience necessary to prepare them for a successful career in
human resources.
Job purpose statement: The HR Intern provides
quality HR and administrative support to the HR Team.
The Intern is responsible for
maintaining satisfied clients by delivering assistance and administrative
support in all functions within the department.
Tasks:
The Human Resources Intern
will be get hands on knowledge in the following areas:
- Recruitment
- Implementation
of Labor laws
- Management of
Health and Safety within the work place
- Implementation
of training and Records management within the training function
- Organization
and maintenance of HR records
- Management of
Leave
- Management of
HR Administrative functions within the employee life cycle. This includes
but not limited to:
- Management of
uniforms
- Management of
acquisition of staff passes
- Acquisition of
car stickers
- Office management
- Management of
staff hotac
Education Qualification
- Bachelors
degree in Business or Social Science with specialization in Human
Resources
- KCSE mean
grade of C
Skills and Competencies
- Excellent
interpersonal skills
- Intermediate
level proficiency in MS Office applications i.e. word, excel, PowerPoint,
MS Project, Outlook
- Able to work
both independently, efficiently and effectively as well as in
collaboration with people at various levels and from different
backgrounds.
- Have a sense
of urgency and attention to detail.
- Excellent
communication skills; both written and spoken.
- Must maintain
confidentiality of data in all areas.
