Ugandan National Program Manager–
Kampala, Uganda
Our client a Global
Organisation with its inception in the USA and with primary mission of
accelerating economic development in emerging economies is looking to fill the
position of Program Manager, Skills Development Network for their offices based
in Kampala, Uganda.
The
successful candidate MUST have experience interfacing with private sector,
government departments and other entities.
- Project
Management of the Skills Development Program.
- Help identify
the needs and define the goals and scope of the program.
- Create a
detailed project plan, monitor actions & ensure timely completion of
deliverables.
- Training
Industry Sector Skill Councils (and possibly Companies/Association)
Interface
- Ensure
Curriculum covers all aspects of training - Classroom instruction
material, Faculty Guide.
- Work with
SSC/Industry to organize & deliver the training course logistics.
- Coordinate with
all stakeholders including from industry, educational & training
institutes & government.
- Liaison with
all parties involved, ensuring common understanding & that
deliverables meet the requirements.
Qualifications:
- Must be a
Ugandan National.
- Must have a
Master’s degree in Business, Social Work or other equivalent degree.
- Must have a
minimum of 8 years with at least 3 years in roles leading projects and
people.
- MUST have
experience interfacing with private sector and government departments.
- Strong
analytical, conceptual and strategic planning, Program management skills.
- Able to develop
documents and other write-ups for communication on paper, via the web
& other means.
- Ability to
break up a complex deliverable into a project plan with realistic tasks.
- Confident and
able to interface with senior faculty/ industry experts/ Education
Partners and government .
- Mastery of MS
Office tools – Word, PowerPoint, Excel.
- Experience
setting up projects from scratch, training and development using current
tools.
- Any experience
in Learning Management Systems/e-learning will be a plus.
Monthly gross salary: KSH 140,000 /= (Approx. 1,400 USD) depending on skills and
experience
