Sales Representative
Grade KMC 6
Ref: KMC – SR/6/12/2016
Duties and Responsibilities

·         Achieve maximum sales profitability, growth and account penetration within an assigned territory and/or market segment by effective by effectively selling the Commission’s products and/or related services
·         Personally, contacts and secures new business accounts/customers
·         Promotes/sells/secures new business accounts/customers
·         Demonstrates products and services to existing/potential customers and assists them in selecting those best suited to their needs
·         Establishes develops and maintains business relationships with current customers and prospective customers in the assigned territory/market segment to generate new business for the Commission’s products/services through telephone calls and in-person visits and presentations
·         Researches sources for developing prospective customers and for information to determine their potential
·         Develops clear and effective written proposals/quotations for current and prospective customers
·         Analyzes the territory/market’s potential and determines the value of existing and prospective customers’ value to the organization
·         Plans and organizes personal sales strategy by maximizing the Return on Time Investment for the territory/segment
·         Execute sales promotions and overseeing merchandising activities
·         Monitor and report on market and competitor activities and provide relevant reports and information
·         Participates in trade shows and conventions
Qualifications and Experience
·         Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related discipline from accredited university
·         Minimum two (2) years’ sales experience in FMCG environment
·         Must have excellent interpersonal skills
·         Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
·         Demonstrated aptitude for problem solving; ability to determine solutions for customers (consultative sales approach)
·         Must be result orientated and able to work both independently and within a team environment
Proficiency in computer application skills

Depot Officer
Grade KMC 5
Ref: KMC – DO/6/12/2016
Duties and Responsibilities
·         Oversee the production process at the depots and ensure that all international quality hygiene standards are met
·         Coordinate all maintenance works at the factories and storage facilities to ensure work efficiency and their optimal use
·         Manage relationships and ensure customer satisfaction through regular contact and resolution of issues
·         Ensure that the set sales targets for the depot are achieved
·         Supervise all financial operations in the Depots in liaison with the Chief Accountant
·         Liaise with all relevant Heads of Departments at the Head Office for purposes of applying same policies and procedures as appropriate
·         Develop and recommend an appropriate annual budget for depot operations
·         In consultation with Production Manager, diversify processing of meat products in accordance with the market demand dynamics
Qualifications and Experience
·         A Bachelor degree in Food science and technology/ Economics or Business Administration from accredited university
·         3 years’ experience in a food manufacturing industry.
·         Exposure in quality standards
·         Demonstrated high degree of professionalism and competence in the meat industry
·         Certificate in Senior Management course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution
·         Proficiency in computer application skills

Marketing Officer (Product Development and Branding)
Grade KMC 5
Ref: KMC – MO/6/12/2016
Duties and Responsibilities
·         Develop and deliver a comprehensive product development plan
·         Coordinate and contribute to the development of new products
·         Identifying and coordinate the execution of research projects in support of Commission strategy towards product development/enhancement
·         Research on the changing trends in consumers tastes and preferences in meat products
·         Liaise with the marketing manager to identify the possible market segments and develop new brands appropriately
·         Assist in the development of innovative improvement to existing products as well as the creation of new products
·         Liaise with merchandisers and product outlets to identify the specific needs of the customers to satisfy these needs
·         Developing and managing brands with the aim of maximizing brand profitability
·         Preparing and implementing the annual brand plan
·         Generating brand targets i.e. price, budgets, profit, market share and sales in liaison with the Marketing Manager
·         Developing and implementing brand campaigns and new products
·         Monitoring brand performance and initiating corrective action as may be required
·         Ensuring brand marketing spends as per budget
·         Submitting weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual sales reports to the Marketing Manager
Qualifications and Experience
·         Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related discipline from accredited university
·         Post graduate diploma in marketing
·         Innovative, creative and analytical talents
·         Three (3) years’ experience in developing, launching and redefining products and branding
·         Proficiency in computer applications

Senior Human Resources Officer
Grade KMC 5
Ref: KMC – HRMO/4/12/2016
The Senior Human Resources Officer will report to the Human Resources and Administration Manager
Duties and Responsibilities
·         Define and develop HR strategies, processes and procedures to support business objectives
·         Assist in the recruitment and selection of staff
·         Assisting in developing, reviewing and evaluating HR policies and procedures
·         Develop an overall training program as well as HR budget for the Commission
·         Coordinate performance management programs
·         Handle staff grievances within the commission grievance procedure guidelines
·         Develop and implement reward strategies

·         Supervise employee welfare activities within the framework of human resources objectives, policies and regulations
Qualifications and Experience
·         Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Social Sciences or related discipline from accredited university
·         Post graduate Diploma in Human Resources Management or Certified Public Secretary Part II
·         Served as a Human Resources Officer or in a comparable position for a minimum of three (3) years
·         Must have attended a senior management course not less than three (3) weeks from accredited institution
·         Must be a member of Institute for Human Resource Management (IHRM)
·         Proficiency in computer applications

Supply Chain Officer

The Supply Chain Officer will report to the Supply Chain Manager
Duties and Responsibilities
·         Facilitate the procurement of goods and services for the Commission
·         Prepare requests for proposals
·         Follow up on tender documents
·         Prepare letters of invitation to bidders to attend tender openings
·         Facilitate tender opening sessions
·         Maintain database of pre-qualified suppliers
·         Review contracts and liaise with the legal department on preparing service level agreements based on tender requisitions
Qualifications and Experience
·         Bachelor’s degree in Purchasing and Supplies Management, Commerce, Business Administration (Supplies Management) or equivalent
·         Diploma in Purchasing and Supply Management from CIPS, KISM or any other accredited institution
·         Demonstrated supervisory and competence as reflected in work performance and results
·         Proficiency with computer applications
·         Good analytical, supervisory and writing skills
·         Attended a supervisory skills course of not less than 2 weeks from accredited institution
·         Minimum of three (3) years’ relevant working experience

The Internal Auditor will report to the Chief Internal Auditor
Duties and Responsibilities
·         Receiving, checking and analyzing internal controls, operational policies, and procedures
·         Identifying possible risks and making recommendations
·         Carrying out audit related investigations
·         Overseeing stock takes and write-offs as well as conducting checks
·         Monitoring implementation status of past audit recommendations
Qualifications and Experience
·         Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance
·         Certified Public Accountant part III (CPA K)
·         Certified information systems auditor (CISA)/Certified Internal Auditor (CIA)
·         Three (3) years’ experience as Internal Auditor II
·         Attended a supervisory skills course of not less than two (2) weeks

· Participate in organizational shows, exhibitions and fares
· Organize visits to KMC by outside parties/stakeholders
· Organizing corporate social functions
Qualifications and Experience
· Bachelor’s degree in Communication or equivalent from accredited university
· Diploma in Journalism, Mass communication or public relations
· Minimum three (3) years’ work experience
· Good interpersonal and communication skills

The legal Officer I will report to the Company Secretary.
Duties and Responsibilities
·         File all correspondences, pleadings and other necessary documents in Legal Department registry.
·         Open and code relevant files in the Legal Department.
·         Bring up to the attention of the Company Secretary and Legal Officer all matters for prompt action.
·         Carry out searches in Court registries, Land registry and other relevant Government institutions to carry out searches and other routine duties as may be instructed.
·         Keep proper records of Contracts, Statutes, Legal Transactions, inventories and other records and proper manning of the Legal registry.
Qualifications and Experience
·         A Bachelor of Law degree
·         An advocate of the High court
·         A member of the Law Society of Kenya (LSK)
·         3 years’ experience as practicing lawyer
·         Proficiency in computer applications

Estate Management Officer

The Estate Management Officer will report to the Human Resource and Administration Manager.
Duties and responsibilities
·         Ensure that the Commission housing units are managed and maintained at the highest standards i.e. rates/ rent issues, repairs etc.
·         Conduct a monthly audit of housing facilities and maintain a comprehensive maintenance and repair schedule
·         Maintain an updated inventory of the Commission housing units
·         Liaise with the housing tribunal on matters relating to the Commission housing
·         Follow up on commission lands title deeds and surveying matters
·         Advise the Commission on housing matters
·         Prepare monthly housing management reports
Qualifications and Experience
·         Bachelor’s degree in Land Economics
·         At least 3 years working experience
·         Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
·         Proficiency in computer applications
