 Garsen, Kenya.

Overall Objective:
 The position holder is required to play a supportive role to the Project Manager in the areas of administration, HR and accounting at our construction site in Garsen.

Roles & Responsibility:
 
Accounting Function
  • Administering of petty cash on site in liaison with the Project Manager
  • Follow up on certificates from the Resident Engineer to be received by the head office.
Administrative Function
  • Following up on required site Licenses and reporting to Head Office
  • Ensuring availability of general accommodation for senior staff and communicating with Head office.
HR Function
  • Assist the Project Manager in handling labour issues at site.
  • Overseeing of Manpower at site in terms of managing attendance, time cards and overtime and reporting the same to payroll.
  • Together with the Project Manager, and authorisation from the Regional Roads Projects Manager assessing the labour on site thus hiring and terminating.
  • Providing Head Office with termination notices of staff at site.
  • Handling Employments of labour intensive positions at site.
  • Providing statutory documentation of staff to Head Office for payroll processing.
  • Providing Head Office with relevant and up to date information on staff welfare.
  • Management of the Resident Engineer notices of staff engagements and terminations
  • Reporting of disciplinary issues to the management
  • Fleet Management of vehicles of site
Educational Qualifications
  • Must have a minimum of a diploma in business administration.
  • 3-4 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Experience in an administrative role that includes financial and Administration matters.
  • Experience working in construction site is an added advantage.
