Senior Research and Development Officer Job in Kenya

The Anti-Doping Agency of Kenya (ADAK) was established by The Government of Kenya through the Anti-Doping Act No. 5 of 2016, with its powers vested in a Board, headed by a Chairman.
The key mandate of the Agency is to carry out Anti-Doping Education / Sensitization Campaigns and Doping Tests.
The Agency invites applications from suitable individuals to fill the following vacant position:
Senior Research and Development Officer
Vacancy No. ADAK/1/3/2016
Number of Posts: One (1)
Grade ADAK 6
Salaries Scale: 86,700 – 120,000
Duties and Responsibilities
Duties and Responsibilities will entail:-
(i) Identifying research needs on anti-doping;
(ii) Collecting and collating data on anti-doping education, compliance and testing;
(iii) Analyzing, interpreting and generating appropriate recommendations from the research findings; and
(iv) Preparing briefs, quarterly and annual reports on anti-doping research.
Requirements for Appointment
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:-

(i) Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines:- Physical Education, Sports Science, Leisure and Recreation Management from a recognized institution;
OR
Bachelors’ degree in Social Sciences with a Post-Graduate Diploma in Sports Administration and Management from a recognized institution;
OR
Bachelors’ degree in Chemistry, Bio-Chemistry, Education (Sciences) or Pharmacy with a Postgraduate Diploma in Sports Administration and Management or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
(ii) Excellent communication and writing skills;
(iii) Certificate in Statistical Package for Social Sciences; and
(iv) Certificate in Computer applications from a recognized institution.
