The Anti-Doping Agency of Kenya
(ADAK) was established by The Government of Kenya through the Anti-Doping Act
No. 5 of 2016, with its powers vested in a Board, headed by a Chairman.
The key mandate of the Agency is to
carry out Anti-Doping Education / Sensitization Campaigns and Doping Tests.

Duties and Responsibilities
(i) Collecting and collating data on
active sports disciplines;
(ii) Carrying out anti-doping
education needs assessment;
(iii) Developing an anti-doping
education program based on identified needs;
(iv) Preparing anti-doping education
materials as per the approved curriculum;
(v) Identifying and setting up the
anti-doping education venues;
(vi) Identifying and mobilizing
participants for anti-doping education;
(vii) registering and distributing
education materials to participants; and
(viii) implementing anti-doping
education programs.
Requirements for Appointment
For appointment to this grade, a
candidate must have:-
(i) Bachelor’s degree in any of the
following disciplines:- Physical Education, Sports Science or Leisure and
Recreation Management from a recognized institution;
OR
Bachelors’ degree in Social Sciences
with a Post-Graduate Diploma in Sports Administration and Management from a
recognized institution;
OR
Bachelors’ degree in Chemistry,
Bio-Chemistry, Education (Sciences) or Pharmacy with a Postgraduate Diploma in
Sports Administration and Management or equivalent qualification from a
recognized institution.
(ii) Certificate in Computer
applications from a recognized institution.
