Managing Director – KCB Bank Tanzania

Role Purpose: Reporting to the Group Chief Executive Officer, this position is directly accountable for the general management and oversight of KCB Bank Tanzania to deliver and increase profitability, business and market share growth, product penetration, sustained business and banking operations and exemplary customer experience.
Key Responsibilities

·         Lead and direct Senior Management and Business Teams of KCB Bank Tanzania
·         Lead and formulate Business Plans and Strategies for KCB Bank Tanzania
·         Deliver profitability, business and market share growth strategies of KCB Bank Tanzania in accordance with short, medium and long term budgetary targets and plans.
·         Continually review business strategies and plans in response to changing operating environment and emanating business challenges while retaining focus to overall business strategies.
·         Champion and propagate the KCB brand platform internally and externally across KCB Bank Tanzania (purpose, vision, mission, values, behaviors and promise).
·         Manage and maintain a robust monitoring, controls, business continuity, governance and risk management environment for KCB Bank Tanzania.
·         Maintain proactive oversight in ensuring adherence to external and internal statutory and regulatory standards, risk and compliance management.
·         Provide, manage and maintain comprehensive business status reporting with robust key performance / risk indicators and tracking thereof.
·         Manage and maintain relationships with key/strategic stakeholders: Boards of Directors, KCB Group EXCO, managing directors, divisional directors, statutory and regulatory authorities, government and quasi-government bodies, key customers and service providers.
Qualifications and Requirements
·         University Degree in Business related field. Post graduate and or Banking qualifications will be an added advantage.
·         Minimum of 10 years’ experience in retail and corporate banking, treasury and commercial banking operations, customer service, governance and controls with at least 8 years’ in senior to top management position.
·         Track record of attaining targets of business growth and profitability in the financial services and banking sector.
·         Have appreciation and operating knowledge of the regional banking industry (especially operating dynamics of East Africa), market and global trends as well as challenges

·         Demonstrable cross-cultural, people and relationship management skills, team motivation and leadership competence.
·         Sound understanding of statutory and regulatory requirements of corporate governance, business and banking operations of East Africa.
·         Demonstrable ability to adapt and operate in a matrix management and reporting environment

Hardware Systems Manager

The Position: Reporting to the Head, IT Enterprise Services, the role is responsible manage and lead  the Hardware Systems Infrastructure team / unit handling all the Enterprise Server and storage infrastructure resources as well as the Enterprise Active Directory Infrastructure for the bank.
Responsible for the overall effectiveness and efficiency of all server and storage infrastructure resources and environments within the Group Data Centres and branch network and to ensure high levels of service satisfaction are maintained
Key Responsibilities:
·         Provide leadership and direction to the team of Hardware Systems Engineers maintaining KCB Enterprise Hardware Infrastructure Systems
·         Review of ICT hardware technologies and implementation of strategy on ICT infrastructure for Server and Storage solutions to meet the Bank’s business needs (IT Hardware Infrastructure Strategy and Roadmap)
·         Responsible for effectiveness and efficiency of a highly available server and storage infrastructure to ensure high levels of service satisfaction are maintained.
·         Periodic review of the new technologies on IT hardware platforms in line with best industry approach to support business growth
·         Conduct performance and capacity forecasting and develop budgets for hardware infrastructure needs to enable timely procurement of needed resources for business continuity.
·         Conduct contingency planning for potential IT hardware unavailability and to implement business continuity management plans in relation to hardware systems.
·         Develop and maintain department documentation and action plans including policies and procedures, disaster recovery plans, user guides and best practices that relate to hardware platforms in the bank
·         Implement procedure and technical measures to enhance the security of the equipment’s.
·         Define and implement procedures for maintenance of the ICT hardware equipment for Enterprise Data Centres and branches
·         Establish and manage SLAs to ensure High availability of Mission Critical Servers ensuring resilience and continuity
The Person:
For the above position, the successful applicant should have the following:
·         Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or ICT related field
·         IT Professional Qualifications in one or more of the following : CCNA, CCNP, CISA, CRISC, VMware VCP, RHCSA
·         A minimum of 6 years’ working experience in a large and busy IT environment, including experience in the following specific areas:
1.    At least 4 years’ experience in Networks and Hardware Systems i.e. : Administration of Linux/UNIX platforms, Window Operating Systems, Enterprise SAN Storage Systems, Virtual Environments
2.    At least 4 years working with Oracle Databases
