Office Admin and IT Specialist Jobs in Kenya

Carlson Technologies Limited is an innovative, agile and indigenous Kenyan company registered in 2008. 

The company mainly focuses in supply and installation of information technology integrated security systems, access control systems, energy management system and telecommunication systems. 

Carlson Technologies seeks to recruit highly motivated individuals for the positions of office admin and IT specialist.
 

Office Admin
 

This position is to provide the necessary support to enable the day-to-day bookkeeping and basic accounting requirement for the company. 

The roles and responsibilities for the ideal candidate are:
  • using a variety of software packages, such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, Powerpoint, Excel, Access to produce correspondence and documents and to maintain presentations, records, spreadsheets and databases
  • monitoring costs including setting up standard costs and comparing variances with actual costs
  • ordering and maintaining stationery and equipment
  • devising and maintaining office systems
  • constantly updating company’s social media platforms
  • managing and maintaining budgets, as well as invoicing
  • liaising with staff in other departments and with external contacts
  • arranging travel and accommodation for staff or customers and other external contacts
  • organizing and storing paperwork, documents and computer-based information
  • Arranging in-house and external events
  • Any other role assigned to him/her by the immediate supervisor
The requirements for this position are:
  • At least CPA 2
  • Two years working experience in a busy firm
  • Excellent computational skills, IT, communication, leadership and management skills
IT Specialist 
 
The roles and responsibilities for the ideal candidate are:
  • Assist in the installation of new hardware and software and help in maintaining
  • Protect customers’ data from outside infiltration through encryption, secure data storage and other necessary means
  • Access the infrastructure on a regular basis to ensure it continues to meet necessary demands
  • Manage daily operations in the IT department
  • Develop new strategies and IT procedures to increase efficiency, enhance workflow and improve customer satisfaction
  • Co-ordinate with vendors, contractors and clients
  • Any other role assigned to him/her by the immediate supervisor
The Requirements for this position are:
  • Diploma in IT, computer science, telecommunication engineering or any related field
  • Industry certification and membership will be a plus
  • Excellent IT, communication, leadership and management skills
  • Proven track record in maintaining IT structural integrity
