Clinical Services, Quality
Assurance and Compliance Manager
Reporting to the Deputy
Director Clinical Services, the Clinical Services Quality Assurance and
Compliance Manager will plan, direct, coordinate and provide research in
compliance to clinical ethics, regulations and standards among clinical
services, clinical staff and their activities and advise on the same at KUTRRH.
Main Duties and
Responsibilities
- Make work plans
and work schedules and allocate work to the other staff in the section of
the hospital.
- Design or
implement improvements in communication, monitoring, or enforcement of
clinical compliance standards in the hospital.
- Review or
modify existing clinical policies or operating guidelines to comply with
changes to environmental standards or regulations in the hospital.
- Research and
identify clinical ethics, regulations and standards compliance issues that
require follow-up or investigation in the hospital.
- Maintain
documentation of clinical ethics, regulations and standards compliance
activities, such as clinical complaints received or investigation outcomes

regulatory agencies within and without the hospital.
- Conduct or

- Serve as a
confidential point of contact for clinical staff to communicate with

organize and implement continuous training on compliance related topics,
policies, or procedures among clinical ethics, regulations and standards
compliance staff in the hospital.
- Discuss
emerging clinical compliance issues with the management and clinical staff
at the hospital.
- Monitor and
evaluate clinical compliance systems to ensure their effectiveness and
efficiency, prepare reports and disburse them accordingly in the
hospital
- Verify that clinical
software technology is in place to adequately provide oversight and
monitoring in all required areas in the hospital.
- Supervise,
mentor and guide junior clinical ethics, regulations and standards
compliance staff and students in the unit of the hospital.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors’
Degree in a Clinical Specialisation from a recognised institution,
- Masters’ Degree

- Diploma in
Total Quality Management or its equivalent from a recognised institution
- At least three

Chief of Pathology and Laboratory
Medicine
Reporting to the Deputy

Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Plan for all
laboratory services and resources required in the in collaboration with
KU’s Laboratory Department, participate in and contribute to the overall
strategic planning of the hospital.

vision, mission and culture of the hospital and other national and
international healthcare and frameworks.

laboratory unit and act as its contact person in clinical referral

Manager
Reporting to the Deputy

- Plan for all
ICT systems/Applications services required in the hospital, in
collaboration with other sections and units heads and thus contribute to
its overall strategic planning.

- Develop
application and service strategies and service level agreements, test and

Reporting to the Kenyatta

strategic direction and leadership to the Hospital, lead the development and

day-to-day management decisions at the Kenyatta University Hospitality.
Main Duties and

- Oversee and
coordinate the formulation of the Hospital’s strategic plans and other
operational budgets, periodic work plans and periodic goals for the
Hospital and its departments.
- Ensure that
annual operation plans and budgets are prepared and submitted to the Board
and other respective authorities in time and in compliance with statutory
requirements.
- Oversee the
formulation of the Hospital’s strategic initiatives, objectives and
overall Hospital business plans and lead senior management teams in high
performance and productivity innovation.
- Oversee and
coordinate monitoring and evaluation of the Hospital’s strategic plan and
budget implementation in order to establish its progress and success and
determine any corrective actions if there is diversion from the original

Chief of ENT Surgery
Reporting to the Assistant
Director-Surgery Services, the Chief ENT Surgeon will coordinate and provide
speicalised ENT surgical services, coordinate ENT research and training, and
advise the hospital and public on the same at KUH.
Main Duties and
Responsibilities
- Plan for all
ENT surgery services and resources in the ENT department of the hospital
in collaboration with KU ENT Department, participate in and contribute to
the overall strategic planning of the hospital
- Ensure and
coordinate the implementation of the hospital strategic plan in surgery
department within the framework of the vision, mission and culture of the
hospital and other national and international healthcare frameworks
- Participate in
the recruitment processes for ENT surgeons in the hospital
- Coordinate and
provide specialised ENT surgical services and services delivery in the
surgery department of the hospital ensuring that they meet the expected
standards of quality, quantity and compliance
- Coordinate ENT
surgery referral services within and within and without the hospital
according to the ENT surgery services needs in collaboration with other
hospital sections and departments and within the framework of the hospital
and national referral policies
- Supervise ENT
staff together with their services, in the ENT department of the hospital
to ensure that they offer timely ENT services within the expected
standards of quantity and quantity complying with the established ethics
