ICDC requires the services of a Marketing and Customer Service Intern for approximately eight months from 1st November 2016 to 30th June, 2017.

Required Qualifications
  • Degree in a Business related field

Job Description: The purpose of this job is to execute marketing activities, market research initiatives and customer relationship management initiates and product development.

Tasks and Responsibilities:
  • Manage customer service by enlisting support from other departments and monitoring customer contact at all levels.
  • Champion Implementation of recommendations from the customer satisfaction survey.
  • Plan various county forums in liaison with PR and Communication so as to provide ICDC opportunities to engage with entrepreneurs in these counties.
  • Follow up on all documentations required for a complete business proposal efficiently and expeditiously to ensure that potential new business opportunities are not lost to competitors.
  • Champion the review of current products and services to align them with the market requirements of the customer as per the market research recommendations.
  • Follow up on resolution of customer complaints and ensure preparation and timely submission of the quarterly PCSC report to the commission on Administrative Justice.


Senior Legal Officer

Job Purpose: 
To provide legal services in relation to litigation, alternative dispute resolution, commercial law practice, conveyancing, company secretarial services, compliance  and to facilitate legal debt recovery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and file precise and timely pleadings in Court and in alternative dispute resolution proceedings.
  • Attend Court and alternative dispute resolution proceedings to represent the Corporation.
  • Provide legal and technical support in commercial transactions
  • Facilitate and oversee realization of securities taken by the Corporation and undertake debt recovery.
  • Carry out legal audits and ensure legal compliance by various departments.
  • Provide company secretarial services to select subsidiary and associate companies.
  • Draft, vet, review, negotiate and provide advice on the implementation of all agreements, contracts and other formal agreements for the Corporation’s operational activities.
  • Effectively manage and co-ordinate with external lawyers, auctioneers and process servers.
  • Provide advisory support to other functions/departments in the Corporation.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Law (LLB) from a recognized University.
  • Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law
  • Certified Public Secretary, CPS(K)
  • Advocate of the High Court of Kenya with a current practicing certificate.
  • Five (5) years’ relevant experience three (3) of which should be in a similar position in, preferably, a financial institution.

Position: Driver / Office Assistant

Job Purpose: 
To maintain and operate the Corporation’s motor vehicles and offer messenger services.

Primary Responsibilities:   
  • Safely drive the Corporation’s vehicles in accordance with authorised movement schedules
  • Maintain the vehicle in a clean and neat state at all times
  • Reporting to the supervisor on the condition of the vehicle and advice on scheduled maintenance and any faults
  • Maintain proper and accurate records of work ticket and document movement at all times
  • Prompt and safe delivery and collection of documents, mail, materials and equipment to and from defined destinations

Professional Qualifications
  • Valid driving license

Experience
  • At least three (3) years’ relevant experience in a similar position.

ICT Manager
 
Job Purpose: The job holder is responsible for leading, directing, overseeing and ensuring effectiveness and continuous operation Corporation’s Information Technology systems in order to achieve efficiency and reliability of hardware, software, data archiving and disaster recovery management in support of the Corporation’s business. 

The job holder will also be responsible for the implementation of technology within the Corporation and direct the work of systems and business analysts, support specialists, system administrators and other information technology related functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review, develop and implement an ICT Strategy that is aligned to overall Business Strategy of the Corporation.
  • Develop and implement ICT policies, procedures and guidelines to support the Corporation’s operations and enable it achieve its strategic objectives.
  • Plan and coordinate all ICT projects to support the achievement of the Corporations business strategy.
  • Design and implement controls and procedures that ensure accuracy and reliability in Date Capture, Data Processing and Dissemination of Information.
  • Design and implement information security procedures based standard best practice and Corporate ICT security policies covering information system applications and infrastructure.
  • Responsible for developing processes and assigning resources to provide support to the all users in a timely manner.
  • In collaboration with the Corporation’s risk function, plan and design disaster recovery plans for the Corporation to ensure service continuity in case of disaster.
  • Prepare and manage the annual ICT budget.
  • Evaluate technology developments in the financial industry and suggest improvements in the ICT area to the management.
Academic Qualifications
  • Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / Information Systems.
Professional Qualifications / Membership to Professional Bodies
  • CMIS, PMP, MCSE, MCSD and other ICT related qualifications.
Experience
  • At least 10 years’ experience with at least 7 years of which should have been at a Manager Level overseeing relevant functions.
  • Knowledge of operations in the financial services sector and application of technology in this sector is desirable.
