Reporting to the Corporation Secretary / Head of Legal & Corporate Affairs,the duties and responsibilities of the Principal Corporate Communications Officer will be
- to develop and
deliver effective communications between the Authority and its internal
and external audiences through a range of channels, including media
relations, campaigns and publications;
- managing
stakeholder engagements;
- coordinating
all public outreach and awareness programs;
- events
coordination;
- managing
protocol and providing professional advice and
- support to the
Authority’s departments on all communications and public relations
matters.
The ideal candidate should
meet the following requirements:
- Bachelor’s
degree in mass communications or its equivalent from a recognized
institution;
- Nine (9) years
relevant experience in corporate communications;
- Must be a
person of integrity, demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and be a
team player;
- Ability to
maintain confidence and trust regarding sensitive issues;
- Certificate/transcript
in MS Office suite; and
- Current
membership to the Public Relations Society of Kenya.
A master’s degree in
communication or its equivalent will be an added advantage.

Reporting to the Corporation
Secretary / Head of Legal & Corporate Affairs, the duties and
responsibilities of the Officer will include
- to provide
legal advice to the Authority;
- prepare and
review contracts;
- review, advise
and make recommendations on new legislation, rules and regulations;
- ensure legal,
statutory and contractual compliance, carry out legal research on issues
affecting the Authority;
- ensure
effective representation of the Authority in court matters;
- carry out
comprehensive analysis of evidence gathered in the course of
investigations and prepare legal reports and briefs; and
- assist in Board
Secretarial duties.
The ideal candidate should
meet the following requirements:
- A Bachelor’s
degree in Law;
- Post graduate
diploma in legal studies;
- Registered as
an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya with a current practicing
certificate;
- Served for a
minimum period of six (6) years in legal practice;
- Certificate/transcript
in MS Office suite; and
- Must be a
person of integrity, demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and be a

Reporting to the compliance
manager, the duties and responsibilities of the officer will include
- assisting in
relevant data capture and analysis;
- maintenance of
data on mandatory reporting requirements such as direct procurement and
disposal to employees;
- termination of
procurement process;
- publication of
contract awards; and
- annual
procurement plans.
For appointment to this
position, a candidate must have:
- At least three
(3) years relevant experience;
- A bachelor’s
degree in purchasing and supply management, commerce, economics, law,
business information technology, engineering or a related field;
- A professional
diploma in purchasing and supply or its equivalent from a recognized
institution;
- Must be a
person of integrity, demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and be a
team player;
- Ability to
maintain confidence and trust regarding sensitive issues;
- Certificate/transcript
in MS Office suite; and
- Current
membership to the Kenya Institute Of Supply Management (KISM).
Candidates are expected to
have taken as part of the training essential courses with adequate exposure,
content and depth in negotiating and contracting in procurement and supply;
cost reduction and timescales; legal issues in procurement and supply;
procurement planning, risk management and data analysis.
Those with experience in
e-procurement will have an added advantage.

Senior Compliance Officer

Reporting to the manager,
compliance, the Officer will
- handle diverse
procurement issues in respect to the nature of technical goods, works and
related services such as conducting performance audits for works;
- provide
technical expertise, support and advice to procuring entities on matters
related to procurement of works and building construction;
- assisting in
preparation and review of standard bidding documents for works;
- review reports
on variations involving technical works and related technicalities
warranting variation approvals.
In addition, the officer will
be expected to initiate and coordinate partnerships and collaborations with
relevant technical specialized agencies, including where related services may
need to be outsourced.
For appointment to this
position, a candidate must have:
- At least six(6)
years experience in supervising works projects such as, construction of
roads, bridges, irrigations works or other relevant areas
- A bachelor’s
degree in building economics/quantity surveying, civil engineering or
their equivalent from a recognized institution;
- Been registered
with the board of Registration of Architects and Quantity Surveyors of
Kenya as a quantity surveyor;
- Certificate/transcript
in MS Office suite;
- Must be a
person of integrity, demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and be a
team player; and
- Ability to
maintain confidence and trust regarding sensitive issues.
A professional diploma in
purchasing and supply will be an added advantage.
