Hardware Systems Infrastructure Engineer

The Position:


Reporting to Senior Manager, Hardware Systems Infrastructure the position is responsible for:
  • The implementation and support of High end and Mid- Range IT Infrastructure in line with Bank’s Vision and provisioning High Available Server infrastructure for the Critical Server systems.
  • Ensuring infrastructure high availability, business continuity and effective management of 24x7 Data Centre operations and high end infrastructure SLAs.
  • Design and implementation of Cloud infrastructure systems for the Bank

Key Responsibilities:
  • Formulate, analyze business needs and recommend appropriate ICT Server and Storage infrastructure solutions to meet the Bank’s requirements.
  • Conduct performance and capacity planning as well as develop budgets for hardware infrastructure requirements and future projections for business.
  • Design modeling for provision, orchestrating and deployment of server infrastructure, ensuring that it is readily available.
  • Design, evaluate and implement procedures and technical measures to enhance the security of Data Centre server, storage Infrastructure, Virtualized Server pool and Cloud Infrastructure.
  • Keep updated infrastructure documentation, policies and procedural documents, disaster recovery plan and best practices that relate to hardware infrastructure.
  • Provide strategic evaluation and design of hardware solutions to support the Bank’s requirements as well as supervise the technical execution of the same.
  • Conduct contingency planning for potential IT hardware unavailability and back up strategies for the server and storage infrastructure to ensure business continuity.
  • Monitor Server and Storage infrastructure to ensure smooth operation and achieve customer satisfaction.
  • Inventory management and best practice in hardware and software standardization
  • Design and implement cost management policies, progress on lease model of asset management and also manage SLAs to ensure High Availability of Mission Critical Servers and Business Continuity.
The Person:

For the above position, the successful applicant should meet the following criteria:
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in ICT related field is mandatory
  • Professional qualifications in the following areas:-
1.    MCSE Certification
2.    VMware VCP certification (Mandatory)
3.    Storage Administration Certification in EMC , NetApp or HP
4.    Certification in Blades systems technology
5.    Linux Certification  (Mandatory)
  • Minimum of 4 years working experience in a busy ICT Cloud Infrastructure environment
  • A Master’s Degree will be an added advantage.

Senior Digital Product Development Manager

The Position:
Reporting to the Head, Digital Financial Services and Mobile Payments, the jobholder will be responsible for digital product and business development of digital services (online services, ecommerce, mobile money mobile payments, digital acquiring etc.), to increase revenue, functionality, usage and retention.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop new or enhanced capabilities of various services of Digital Products and business
  • Develop and model price and value propositions for digital products and services
  • Development of superior user experience and processes on digital services
  • Drive deposits, collections, payments and transfers on digital channels
  • Execute Product implementation between Business; Operations, Technology & all third parties.
  • Maintain service levels agreements with relevant functions and third parties
  • Create MIS tools to gauge market perception of various digital products and services
  • Prepare project status reports & channel performance presentations on a month-to-month basis or as required
  • Develop work plans for new and improved capabilities, together with internal and external partners and ensuring that timelines are met
  • Development and tracking of KCSA (Key Control Standard Assessment), Audit, compliance and risk assessment – initial and ongoing self-assessment
The Person:

For the above position, the successful applicant should have the following:
  • University Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field.
  • Master’s Degree or relevant professional qualifications are an added advantage.
  • At least 6 years’ experience in Digital Business or Channels.
  • Proven demonstrable track record of delivery of digital products/services/projects and/or implementations.
  • In depth knowledge of Digital Banking Business, technology & Operations.
  • Experience in Re-engineering of Business, technology & operations.
  • Good problem solving skills
  • Excellent high quality interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills with the ability to interact with senior management, customers, vendors, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership skills with demonstrated competences in championing high performance management.
  • Excellent project management skills.
