The Role: As Learning and Knowledge Manager you will work with organisations from across the not-for-profit, public, technology industry, private sector and training institutions (including

universities) to help local communities in Kenya and other East African countries to become more resilient in the face of disasters by promoting and developing existing and new humanitarian preparedness and response focused learning and development opportunities.

You will work under the supervision of the Kenya Academy Centre, and in collaboration with the Global Academy Office, enhancing capacity to learn, adapting and continuously improving the quality of actions in the humanitarian sector. 

Accordingly, you will seek to learn from various experiences of collaborating partners in the sector ensuring that good practices are drawn from what is being collectively achieved. 

Similarly, you will seek to enable the Academy’s team to collectively and systematically create, share and apply knowledge, to better achieve the Centre’s objectives through the acquisition, management, and utilisation of information and knowledge that are aimed at making improvements to the Humanitarian Response.
