Tack is currently recruiting for the position of Store Keeper.
The holder of this position will report directly to the Management Accountant
The holder of this position will report directly to the Management Accountant
Duties and Responsibilities
- Receives
and inspects all incoming stock into the store
- Reports
when the material stock level is low
- Receives
and unpacks supplies for physical counting and recording
- Reports
and records any damages and discrepancies to the management accountant
- Facilitates
the stock take process
- Checking
of incoming goods against the delivery notes in respect of damage, special
instruction, quantity and certificates of conformance
- Recording
of receipts of incoming goods
- Placing
of goods according to location criteria
- Counting
or weighing of goods as appropriate and the recording of transaction
- Handling
of store requisitions
- Ensuring
safe keeping of company’s finished goods and raw materials
- Knowledge
in the textile industry
- Stores
maintenance
- Any
other duty other duties assigned by management
Minimum
Qualifications
- Diploma
in store keeping
- Conversant
with any computer software e.g. SAGE evolution
- Conversant
with Accounting packages
- A
minimum of 2 years progressive experience in the textile industry/
relevant industry
- Strong
interpersonal and negotiation skills
