Vacant Position: Receptionist

Universities in North Carolina founded RTI in 1958 as a centerpiece of the Research Triangle Park. 

This position will be located in the Regional Office in Kenya or within the East African countries and will support projects based in the region.

The receptionist will be responsible primarily the management of RTI’s front desk. 

She/ He will help foster RTIs brand by creating professional first impressions on the guests and visitors.

 It will be the duty of the receptionist to compassionately greet all incoming guests, visitors and staff, help them with directions or any appropriate information that they need while maintaining a high level of RTI’s confidentiality. 

She / He will professionally answer phone calls in a polite tone and re-directing calls to respective departments. 

The receptionist will also perform various front desk duties including filing, handling and re-directing mail, etc., assuming administrative authority as directed.

This role is supervised by the Operations Coordinator.

Applicants will possess a minimum of a Diploma in Business Administration or Secretarial is desirable plus one (1) year of related experience in front office management or receptionist; Experience working with Microsoft Packages including Word, Excel and PowerPoint is desirable. 

High degree of professionalism and discretion; culturally astute. 

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills with ability to be flexible and work well under pressure in a multi-tasking environment. 

This position does not attract international allowances.
