Duties and Responsibilities
- Preparing
and reviewing legal contracts, deeds, leases, and other legal papers of a
routine nature;
- Managing
contractual arrangements with suppliers and partners;
- Researching
on relevant statutes, rulings and precedents to be used as a basis for
answering requests for legal opinions;
- Handling
all legal matters including litigations in liaison with external lawyers;
- Providing
legal advice and ensure compliance with legal and statutory requirements;
- Maintaining
a comprehensive database of all legal matters with up to date progress;
- Reviewing
and formulating legal policies, procedures and regulations;
- Reviewing
recent legislation, court cases, correspondence and publications pointing
out matters of note or which necessitate management action;
- Liaising
with other departments in managing legal matters;
- Assisting
in the provision of company secretarial duties to the Board of Directors
as and when the need arises;
- Filing
of various documents/returns as required under the provisions of the
Companies Law;
- Attending
court and relevant registries as and when required to;
- Conducting
legal awareness and education to company staff;
- Attending
meetings within and outside the company premises on behalf of the company;
- Employing
Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) procedures in resolving disputes
affecting the company.
Education,
Professional Qualifications and Work Experience
- Bachelor
of Laws (LLB) degree from a recognized university;
- A
registered member of the Law Society of Kenya in good standing;
- 2-3
years post-admission experience in a busy legal department/environment.

- Strong
management, negotiation and report writing skills;
- Computer
literacy and familiarity with standard office computer applications;
- Excellent
interpersonal and communication skills;
- Ability
to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Job
Purpose: The
person will be responsible for planning, administering and reviewing the
acquisition, development, maintenance and use of ICT systems within the
company.
Key
Responsibilities:
- Formulating
and enforcing information technology (IT) policies, procedures, and
systems;
- Designing,
developing, implementing and maintaining databases and information systems
for the company;
- Planning
and coordinating IT activities such as installation and upgrading of hardware
and software, programming, and systems design, development of computer
networks, and implementation of Internet and intranet sites;
- Overseeing
the development, implementation, and maintenance of security networks;
- Analyzing
the computer and information needs of the organization, from an
operational and strategic perspective, and determining immediate and
long-term ICT requirements;
- Coordinating
and implementing required systems by the company;
- Overseeing
hardware maintenance, trouble shooting and user support assistance;
- Coordinating
the design, development and implementation of computer disaster recovery
procedures to minimize loss of data/or systems; and
- Preparing
ICT budgets and proposals.

- BSC
Degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 8
years’ experience, 3 of which must have been in a similar capacity.
- Prior
experience in managing a functional level in a large organization/busy

discipline, manage employee relations as well as labour relations to promote
conducive working environment and promote Organizational values.
Primary Responsibilities:

- Creating
and implementing all employee relations related practices, policies,
procedures and strategies with the goal of promoting a positive culture
and high employee performance
- Manages
the employee relations program to ensure compliance with policies and
practices

to branch managers

with conflict & grievance resolution

guidance on disciplinary matters and procedures.
