The Sacco is headquartered in Nairobi and has branches in various parts of the country providing both BOSA and FOSA services. 

As the Sacco expands, they wish to recruit professionals to fill the following positions:

Accounts Assistants - Head Office
 

2 Positions


Ref No: AAS/CCIA/2016

Reporting to: Assistant Accountant 

Responsibilities
  • Updating members records accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Following up deduction schedules for allocated to you to ensure timely updates of members’ records.
  • Reconciling members’ statements.
  • Processing erroneous deductions and refunds.
  • Initiating journals for members’ statements.
  • Communicating to members on the status of their accounts.
  • Any other duties as required by your supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications
  • CPA Part 2
  • Computer literate
  • Minimum Age: 25 years
  • Working experience: Minimum 2 years

  • Ensuring cheques and cash are banked and input in the system.
  • Any other duty assigned.

Chief Cashiers – Busia and Nairobi

Reporting to: FOSA Manager

Responsibilities
  • Plan, organize and co-ordinate the FOSA activities to ensure efficient and economical cash operations in the FOSA
  • Ensure all arrangements pertaining to insurance, alarm systems, cash limits, strong room operations and key controls are in place.
  • Opening new accounts in the branch
  • Maintain an up-to-date record of all the cash and bank transactions.
  • Reconcile all cash and Mpesa accounts with the physical cash daily
  • Reconcile all bank and control accounts.
  • Approve and disburse advances to members according to the society’s policies.
  • Recover advances granted and promptly institute recovery measures for defaulters.
  • Implement all the FOSA policies made by the board.
  • Supervise the staff at the FOSA.

  • CPA Part 2
  • Computer literate
  • Minimum Age: 25 years

FOSA Assistant Accountant – Nairobi
 
Reporting to:
 Accountant

Responsibilities
  • Check all FOSA vouchers against transactions and members accounts on a daily basis.
  • Review daily cash certificates received from the branches.
  • Daily and monthly bank reconciliations of all FOSA Bank accounts.
  • Daily reconciliation of all MPESA transactions of the society.
  • Weekly reconciliation of all FOSA control accounts.
  • Initiate the transfer of BOSA remittances and standing orders from Fosa control accounts and advance recovery from BOSA deposits
  • Confirming FOSA liability for withdrawal cases Recovery of defaulted advances.
  • Making daily correspondences with Fosa branches to queries from member’s cases.
  • Any other duty assigned from time to time.
Minimum Qualifications
  • CPA(K)
  • Computer literate
  • Minimum Age: 25 years
  • Diploma in Co-operative Management an added advantage

FOSA Manager

Reporting to: Finance Manager

Responsibilities

Marketing and Public Relations duties
  • Promote the society’s products with an aim of increasing patronage.
  • Increase the membership of the FOSA by coordinating with the marketing department in recruiting new members.
  • Promote a positive image of the society at the branch.
  • Liaise with local stakeholders in securing the society’s interests.
  • Any other duties as may be assigned
Minimum Qualifications
  • CPA(K) and Bachelors degree in Commerce or equivalent
  • Computer literate
  • Minimum Age: 35 years
  • Working experience: Minimum 3 years
