Duties
and Responsibilities
- Set
up and maintain a reliable and comprehensive supplier base as required for
company projects
- Managing
all procurement and supply chain activities.
- responsible
for purchasing of materials, services and sub contracts, vendor
maintenance, stores, stock and inventory control,
- Carrying
out regular audits, parts and material issue, maintain and control of
company assets, waste management, budgeting and supervision of staff
within the department.
- Ensure
preparation of comprehensive procurement plan for the organization.
- Ensure
that goods procured are of good quality, right price and thereto the
procurement procedures and standards of the organization.
- Establishing
an efficient supply base through acceptable tendering and prequalification
process for all the goods and services of the organization.
- Maintaining
a complete and updated database and to manage identification, negotiation
and selection of vendors/suppliers.
- Managing
all supply chain processes including the planning of procurement,
production, warehouse management, inventory control, logistics and
distribution to ensure accurate and appropriate inventories
- Negotiating
all vendor contracts of the company.
- Training
developing, mentoring and assisting subordinates in all of the
departments that fall within the supply chain process to ensure effective
function of all the component, including the continuous monitoring and
evaluation of the entire supply chain
- Leading
the supply chain team in the coordination of the procurement, warehousing
and distribution operations materials.
- Be
updated on the new products and suppliers in the market and leverage their
utilization for organisational benefit.
Skills
and Attributes
- Bachelor/Diploma
in Procurement/purchasing and Supply Chain.
- 4
years proven experience in a similar post.
- Knowledge
of RFP and relevant software like SAP-SRM will be an added advantage
- Planning
and time management.
- Suppliers/vendors
relationship management.
- Cost
reduction strategies.
- Team
building.
