The company combines local knowledge with expertise to provide competitive and impartial product and process assurance services to producers and processors locally, regionally and internationally for market access and sustainability.

To support its growth agenda, the company is seeking to appoint:
 

Finance and Administration Manager

This is a senior management role in a medium sized company, hence strategic in the growth of the company. 

The position reports to the Chief Executive Officer.

Role Definition: The successful candidate will be a hands-on and participative manager. 

S/he will develop and lead an internal team to support the following areas: finance, business planning and budgeting, human resources, administration, and IT.

Key responsibilities will include:
  • Ensuring effective financial accounting and reporting
  • Financial budgeting and forecasting
  • Overseeing the HR function of the company
  • Developing the human resources capacity by enhancing professional development, compensation and benefits, performance evaluation, training and recruitment
  • Overseeing administration, logistics and IT
Role Requirements
  • A Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or equivalent.
  • Qualified accountant with CPA (K) or ACCA.
  • A diploma in Human Resource Management will be an added advantage.
  • Over five years of post-qualification experience in financial management with at least 3 years in a senior position at a reputable organisation with a minimum annual turnover of $ 1.5 million.
  • Great communication skills
  • Ability to think independently and innovatively to solve problems
  • Working knowledge of the Agricultural sector is desirable.
  • Competence in IT

Document Control Officer
 
This is an entry level role with significant potential for growth. 

The position reports to the Certification Officer.

Role Definition: The primary purpose for this role is to ensure smooth and timely flow of documentation throughout the certification process and capturing of the same on the company’s system.

Key responsibilities will include:
  • Uploading of application and contractual documents as and when received
  • Receipt and filing of client documents and audit plans
  • Tracking and updating of records from audit teams
  • Ensuring timely submission of audit report from the audit teams
  • Update of website summaries
Role Requirements
  • Diploma in Agriculture / Agricultural Economics, Horticulture, Food or Environmental Sciences
  • Age between 25 to 30 years
  • Be highly organized with attention to detail
  • Able to withstand pressure
  • Be flexible with a high level of responsibility
  • Have good interpersonal relations
  • Be a person of high integrity
