Hotel Manager Job in Kenya (80K)

Our client, a Hotel Industry Business is looking to recruit a Hotel Manager

The ideal candidate will oversee a team of staff and take responsibility for the smooth running of the hotel, its occupancy levels and also its profitability.

 Kakamega, Kenya

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage daily operations of the hotel.
  • Planning and organizing accommodation, conferences, workshops & mass feeding.
  • Promoting and marketing the business.
  • Manage budgets & financial plans as well as controlling expenditures.
  • Setting & achieving sales and profit targets and benchmarking.
  • Recruiting, training and monitoring staff through their team leaders.
  • Planning working schedules for individuals and teams.
  • Ensure events and conferences run smoothly.
  • Supervising maintenance, supplies, renovations and furnishings.
  • Work closely with contractors and suppliers.
  • Be familiar with restaurant operations, banqueting, cocktails and menu profiles.
  • Ensure hotel & guest security is effective.
  • Ensure compliance with licensing laws, healthy & safety and other statutory regulations.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in hotel, business or hospitality management.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years experience working in a 3 star hotel.
  • Must possess strong leadership & motivation skills.
  • Strong oral/written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal & customer service skills.
  • Basic computing and filing skills.
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Organizational & time management skills.
  • Ability to interrogate procurement documents, as well as LPOs.
Monthly gross salary: Ksh. 70,000 - 80,000/= plus housing (Approx. 700 - 800 USD) depending on experience
