Human Resource Officer
 
Responsibilities
  • Assisting the Human Resource Manager in recruitment strategy development and manpower budgeting process
  • Collaborates with Heads of Department for projecting current and future staffing needs, recruitment, job offers, hiring of staff, and new employee on-boarding.
  • Consults with Heads of Departments and support in determining the appropriate job description for staff positions.
  • Responsible for hiring strategy, recruitment, sourcing, development, and advertising of job profiles.
  • Administration of psychometric assessments as required and use of other recruitment tools to enhance objectivity and credibility of the process
  • Reviews and evaluates job applications, Initiates phone screening of candidates, Interviews and makes hiring recommendations.
  • Conducts reference checks and notifies applicants of consideration or rejection.
  • Provides superior customer service to clients, hiring managers, and applicants. Keeps all parties updated and informed of recruitment progress.
  • Analyzes the recruitment process performance, prepares the recruitment dashboards, presents dashboards, recommends changes to the recruitment process and implements changes
  • Analyzes the performance of recruitment agencies, the cost per hire, time to hire and recommends changes and improvements
  • Measures the performance of HR Recruiters and provides feedback to them
  • Identifies difficult job vacancies and investigates the best recruitment approach for them
  • Analyzes the recruitment software and implements changes and improvements
  • Preparation of interview schedules, arrangement for interviews and other related logistics
  • Preparation of the Induction program in liaison with Heads of Departments and ensures new staff orientation and induction is properly done
  • Drafting of appointment letters as appropriate depending on work level
  • Ensure that appointment letters reach the payroll office within set turnaround times for seamless service to employees
Qualifications
  • Must have a Higher diploma in Human resource management
  • At least 1 year of experience in people management.
  • Good knowledge of performance management
  • Must be in Mombasa or willing to relocate to Mombasa.
