IBTCI
is contracted by USAID to conduct monitoring and evaluation for USAID-funded
activities in Kenya and East Africa.
IBTCI
is looking for long-term and short-term staff to implement Site Improvement
through Monitoring System (SIMS) over the next 2 years.
SIMS
aims to systematize and broaden ongoing PEPFAR site monitoring processes and
improve documentation of this oversight.
This
is accomplished through administration of standard tools that assess adherence
to PEPFAR standards of care and service delivery, as well as within entities
that support and guide service delivery.
Program
Manager
The
Program Manager will be responsible to ensure on-time submission of all
required deliverables as well as the quality of each deliverable outlined in
the USAID/IBTCI SIMS Task Order contract.
She/He
will ensure all activities function smoothly and efficiently in accordance to
the USG technical team leads guidance.
The
Program Manager will;
- Coordinate
the day-to-day management of all technical and administrative staff;
- Provide
overall technical leadership and expertise in SIMS implementation;
- Mentor,
support and supervise activity staff and facilitate the development of all
activity deliverables;
- Oversee
and have direct input into all human resources functions including
recruiting (when necessary), training, performance planning and evaluation
for all direct reports;
- Ensure
that activity planning, development, resource availability and management
of activities function smoothly and efficiently;
- She/he
will lead the institutionalization of quality assurance and quality
control in the SIMS activity;
- Participate
in the preparation and presentation of data;
- Perform
other related duties as required.
Education
Degree
in medicine and postgraduate qualification in public health and quality
Improvement from a recognized training institution;
Location: Nairobi with field visits to North Eastern, Coast, Rift Valley and Nyanza/Western regions.
QA / QI
Monitors
QA/QI
Monitors will be responsible for planning and implementing data monitoring,
management and data entry and quality assurance monitoring.
SIMS
site assessments will be conducted on a regular and ongoing basis over the next
two years.
Specifically,
the QA/QI Monitors will;
- Collect
data using the SIMS tools;
- Verify
the accuracy of SIMS data before submission;
- Ensure
the SIMS data meets USG reporting requirements;
- Assist
with data cleaning and quality assurance;
- Submit
SIMS data within 24 hours after data collection;
- Back-up
data on a daily basis;
- Assist
in field logistics including organization of meetings and confirming
appointments;
- Participate
in the preparation and presentation of data, when required;
- Participate
in the review of SIMS monitoring tools;
- Participate
in regular management meetings with IBTCI staff, as needed;
- Collaborate
with IBTCI Public Health Specialist and Senior M&E Advisor to ensure
high data quality;
- Performs
other related duties as required.
Education
- Degree/diploma
in nursing, or community health from a recognized training institution;
Required skills/Experience
- At
least four (4) years of data monitoring and management at facility and
community levels;
- At
least four (4) years of experience on HIV programming in Kenya;
- Familiarity
with the MoH HIV data collection and reporting tools;
- Experience
with interviewing techniques;
- Excellent
verbal and written skills as well as good organizational and team skills;
- Experience
working with the MoH and private health facilities desirable;
- Experience
using Ms. Office packages;
- High
level of accuracy and attention to detail;
Location: North
Eastern, Coast, Rift Valley and Nyanza / Western regions.
